Awkward at first. He would slowly wrap one of his arms around you as a side hug, but then wraps his other arm and finally relaxes.
While he's hugging you, he would have an awkward expression on his face that immediately turns to pity.
He 100% looks around for a moment before actually trying to comfort you, like whispering or rubbing your back.
If it's a nightmare, then he most likely won't wake up unless you cry. He'll wake up immediately and ask you what's wrong.
If he was the one upset or needed comforting, he would wait until everyone else was away and talk to you about it. He doesn't really like when anyone else is there to see his 'tough guy' act drop when he's about to cry.
^(reason why) When he did get upset and cry in front of Velvet, she just gave him a side hug and rolled her eyes💀
He would try to comfort you anytime he can. But if he can't(performing or in an interview for example), he would immediately apologize once he figures out that you were upset without him by your side.
