by the end of the day me and jav where knackered stopping at mcdonalds on the way home surprisingly it is not that different the uk the portion sizes are just like ten times bigger finally we got home and i was still on a high from shopping and needed to give someone a haul of the books i got deciding on the friendliest brother i just barged into his room with like ten bags
"hey kai" i said my smile so big
taking off the his headphones looking at me with a gleam in his eyes another brother that i seem to make happy
weird but i cant help it when my smile gets bigger i've never felt this loved before by family
"looks like you had fun" him eyeing my abundance of bags
"yes i did and you are going to sit right there while i give you a haul on every single book i got" i said in my most serous tone
"wouldn't want it any other way" he said it barely above a whisper thinking i woudn't hear it
now kaiden's full attention on me i started my tour
each book i showed he took a full interest in and even asking some questions me happily answering all of them
a little over a hour later and books scattered all over kaiden's floor me and him were snuggled under his duvet watching a film i was barely able to keep my eyes open fighting me to stay awake but once i felt my youngest brother playing with my hair that was enough to let the darkness consume me

I felt a bruise already forming on my cheek
" you know better than to go behind my back you little bitch" cole spat
"It's it's just a book" my word's barely coming out
" I don't care you don't deserve even the littlest bit of happiness even if it's words on a piece of paper "
Cole's words coming out sharp and full of anger
I barely had enough time to respond before another hit to the face causing me to crumble down to floor gasping for breaths
"Stop" are the only words I let out before I sink into the darkness
From that point on I never let cole see me one bit happy or any emotion as soon as entered the shack I call a home my emotionless mask slips on not dare coming off until I know he is nowhere near me

me and carmella are laying in my bed and i have to stop myself from laughing when i saw she was fighting her sleep but sensing she needed some rest i started playing with her hair and before i knew it she was out like a light
i headed downstairs to ask when dinner is going to be ready i was really hungry once i made it down i found all my brothers scattered around the living room and kitchen except my twin of course he practically lives in his room so anti social
"hey kai wheres carmella"xander asked
"we were watching a movie and she fell asleep in my bed and also when is dinner going to be ready" me replying
"dinner will be ready soon louize is almost finished making carbonara
"ahhhhhh"
silence fell upon the house
"ahhhhhhh"
then all we could hear were carmellas agonizing screams all my older brother guns are drawn everyone heading to my room as that's where she was last
we all got to my room already finding my twin by carmella's side who looked like to be stuck in a nightmare she was clawring at her throat struggling to breathe kicking and screaming in my bed gio immediately running to my baby sister's side all of us could do nothing but watch carmella struggling with her inner demons's
"what the fuck is wrong with her" damion shouting
"shut the fuck up damion it's clear she is stuck in a memory" xander said never taking his eyes of his little sister
"xander hold down her legs before she hurts herself" gio had to shout as no one could hear over her screaming
gio was holding her wrist her throat now red and sore and xander holding down hr legs
"we need to know what happend to her to be this freaked out" i said putting in my input
"dont worry we will" this time coming from xander
gio was having no luck with calming carmella down so jaiden took over whispering stuff in her ear and rubbing circles on her palms and playing with her hair finally she stopped thrashing around my brothers letting go of her
she then shot up her eyes opening all of us letting a sigh of relief out but her breathing still rapid and still not fully with us
" i'm here care i'm here" carmella collapses from exhaustion onto jaiden who pulls her body more into his
but by the look on my twins face i knew he knows something about this and by the looks he gives me tells me not to say anything
all of my brothers looking down at carmella jaws clenched thoughts racing through each of their minds all of us thinking the same thing
" i am not gonna force the information out her " gio saying reading everyones minds
"you have to gio look at her right now she is hiding so many secrets " damion says frustration lacing his voice
" no she will tell us when she is ready" gio's cold voice booming with anger
"gio" damion trying again
" do you want us to earn her trust or not we have no idea what she has been through forcing stuff out might trigger something much worse than this and that is end of discussion everyone just keep an eye on her her for the next couple days" gio firmly stating
and with that silence echoed through the room no one dare challenging giovante
"now everyone out except jaiden "
one by one all my brothers left the room each giving one last glance to the unconscious carmella in jai's arms
me being the last one out gio giving me a sympathetic look before i walked away
