now if this was a normal day and i wasn't on medication i would be absolutely shitting bricks right now but you would never be able to tell if people can see your emotions they had already found a weakness in you and trust me having social anxiety i am always  nervous but no one would ever be able to tell by my face except for aliyah 

i never get called to the headteachers office i'm a generally good student dont get me wrong i skip lessons and and like to cause a bit of mischief but i always cover my tracks if i got caught i doubt i would be alive to see the next day and for skipping days i just hack into the school system  soooo i did not know what to expect yes i may "backchat" teachers ... a lot but they just get on my nerves they just expect us to be perfect little children as well as having no respect but this school doesnt care enough to worry about rude children the headteacher is low key chill like that 

Lia squeezed my hand bringing back to reality as she walked into the classroom mouthing to me "call me after" so now walking to his office all the possibilities of why i am here start flooding my brain. i dont even know why i'm panicking its probably about how i'm failing math' s

As walk into sirs neutral beige themed office that was pretty huge to be honest i am met with two police officers one women with bright blonde hair and dark brown eyes that were sympathetically staring into my soul right now and a male officer that also has bright blonde hair but emerald green eyes his expression emotionless they look like they could be siblings

but back to the point

what the fuck is going on

"hi carmella i'm officer rose and that's officer Russo" the women said i'm here to tell you something i think its best if you sit down

"ok" i said hesitantly slowly lowering myself onto the headteachers sofa never breaking eye contact with rose

"Carmella i'm so sorry your stepdad Cole has been kidnapped"

"HUH" was the only word i could form at this moment in time

"about an hour after you left from school your neighbors called us saying that was a lot of shouting and could hear glass breaking when we got there was blood all over the walls" she stopped mid way to let me process what she just told me not breaking eye contact she took that as a sign to carry on talking luckily there were security cameras on the house opposite from yours and from that we could see your stepdad being dragged into a black van"

thank fuck i took and extra pill today

"i know this is a lot to process but we will need to ask you a few questions to help get your stepdad Cole back "

i wanted to scream at her to leave his ass for dead

"ok first question was cole i i mean your stepdad at home before you left for school" she stuttered

"no he is never home when i wake up and doesn't come home till late at night "

rose scanned my face for any ounce of emotion i don't know what she was expecting waterworks my face has remained neutral and emotionless this whole time i had stop myself from grinning im sooo happy he is gone but obviously they don't know what he was really like a monster so to get them of my back i started sniffling and fake wiped a few tears from my eyes

" oh carmella" rose embraced me in a hug

russo and the headteacher looking at me me with sympathy

"did your stepdad have any people who hated or wanted to hurt him"

there's a long list cole was not a nice man scamming and tricking people out of money and drugs i'm surprised this hasn't happend sooner but selfishly i never want to see him again

"dont worry carmella we will find him" finally the male officer spoke

i fully expected her to say foster care or something even weird pedo uncle mark but frankly anything is better than getting abused on a daily bases

"surprisingly your DNA was already on the system and found out you have 6 older brothers willing to take you in from new york"

my mouth was on the floor

"yes i'm sure i know its a lot to take in so we will give you ten minutes to gather your thoughts your brothers have already booked a flight later this evening for you so i will accompany you to your house help pack your things and drive you to the airport"

with that the two officers and my headteacher left the room i could hear quiet mumbling outside so i picked up the pillow next to me screaming into it hoping no one outside can hear

usually my medication wears off by the end of the day so i am mentally bracing myself for the panic that will follow after

knowing i will have a busy day i pick up my phone and text aliyah

ALIYAH

hey aliyah i know you wont get this text i know you wont get this text till after school and i wish i could tell you in person cole has been kidnapped thank god and i i found out i have six brothers who want to take me in...FROM NEW YORK so i might be a bit M.I.A since my flight is later i will call first thing when i get a chance i cant believe i am leaving i will miss you so much i will text you everyday i love you bye
