The nurse walked in followed by Nandini

"Here you are miss Murty" Dr Krinal said interrupting whatever Manik was saying and Manik who was arguing with her turned to see Nandini. She was wearing sky blue kurta and white pants. No makeup. She looked beautiful yet tired.

"You called for me" Nandini said softly and then quickly glanced at Manik to check if he was fine

"Yes" Dr Krinal said "Mr Malhotra hear has an issue" she added and Nandini looked at Manik frowning. "He is feeling itchy and so you should give him a bath" Dr Krinal said

"What?!" Nandini and Manik bothe turned to her with wide eyes

"That's the only solution. Mr Malhotra here refuses to take help of the male and female nurses so I thought someone from his family might be better" Dr Krinal told the

"I..."

"She is not my family. I don't want her to give me a bath" Manik said arrogantly stopping Nandini.

"It's a sponge bath Mr Malhotra" Dr Krinal wanted to roll her eyes but she resisted the urge.

"Still, not her" Manik said firmly

"Then you should call your mother" Dr Krinal suggested "or just let the nurses do their thing. Yeh toh aap Dr Cabir ke friend hai isliye I am giving such advice varna..." she just trailed off

Manik looked pissed. He was feeling itchy and he wanted to feel fresh. If he calls for Neyonika, it will be Hassel. Nandini was already here. "Fine" he said annoyed. Nandini looked at him, he glared at her. Then she looked at the doctor.

"That's good. Nurse will get you everything." she said and left with the nurse. After sometime a nurse came with a tub and a fresh songe and asked Nandini to get water from the bathroom, she also informed Nandini that they had hot water connection too. Nandini nodded and went to the bathroom. When she came nack Manik saw she had rolled up her sleeves of the kurta and clipped her hairs in bun. She came to Manik and kept the samll tub there and then got a towel from a small cupboard in the room. All the while Manik saw her moments, not directly but discreetly.

Nandini came closer to him and asked him "Should I?" her hands moved close to the hospital gowns buttons but stopped not getting a reply from him. Manik saw that and just singed nodding his head. Nandini helped him get out of the shirt and he sat there in his pants.

"Haath do" Nandini said and Manik looked at her confused "Haath do" Nandini said again but he did not respond so Nandini took his right had, which was not injured and put some water over it "Is this fine? Should I get more hot or cold water?" she asked and Manik realised she wanted him to feel comfortable with the temperature of the water

"It's fine" he said. It was like he likes. More hot but not skin burning hot.

Nandini sat infront of him and started to clean him up with the sponge. Manik sat there as she cleaned his chest, his abs, his stomach. He saw her holding her breath and smirked but then didn't let her see it. She bent over and cleaned his shoulder and back. While doing that her shallow breaths collided with his skin and Manik had goosebumps. While cleaning the hand, Nandini noticed the goosebumps

"Are you feeling cold?" she asked him, making him look at her. He just nodded no and looked away. She frowned but shrugged it and carefully cleaned the hand in his waist. Then Nandini took a towel and wiped of the water. She clean his face and Manik made an irritated sound

"Kya?" she asked him

"It all dripped on my chest. Aise karte hai?" Manik snapped at her

"Main roz thodi karti hu" Nandini told him and made a sad pout. He closed his eyes in frustration for snapping at her. "Main poch deti hu" she said and dabbed the towel on his chest where the access water fell. "Thik hai?" she asked and he made that irritated sound again. "Accha sorry" she said and he looked at her. He always wondered how she could say sorry so easily. But then when she thought she was not at fault, she would never say sorry. She was not at fault here but yet she was saying sorry.
