Shinji and Akane were placed in prison cells amd changed uniform, soon after that they were escorted to commander Ikaris office.
They entered the room and saw the commander sitting visibly angry.
"Your both being charged with Insubordination and terroristic threats, these are some serious charges, what do you have to say for yourselves" Gendo said
"Yes, is Auska okay?" Shinji asked
"Thats classified" gendo replied
"Classified?" Akane asked confused
"Yes its on a need to know basis" Gendo answered
"What I need to know is why are you such an asshole" Shinji said
Akane giggled and gendo stood up angry
"Dont make this worse then it already is" Gendo said
"I don't see how it can get any worse then this Gendo" Shinji replied
Commander was stunned
"What did you call me?" He asked
"Oh yeah I'm calling you Gendo, I told you before I don't see you as a father and i sure as hell don't see you as a commanding officer" Shinji
"Very well however you must respect the rank shinji" gendo said
"Believe me that's all I have respect for" shinji replied
Gendo tried not show how amgry he was, Akane stood there smiling looking at shinji.
"Shinji Ikari, you are hearby discharged from Nerv you will no longer be the acting pilot of Eva Unit 1" Gendo said
Akane gasped and looked at gendo
"Is that your final order?" Shinji asked
"Yes" he replied
Shinji held up his handcuffed hands up
"Then can you take these things off" shinji said
1 hour later
Shinji and Akane were separated, Akane wanted to go back to her apartment to see shinji but nerv agents kept them apart.
Akane ended up on the same elevator as Rei.
"Oh hey Rei, where have you been?" Akane asked
"Just busy, I heard what happened to shinji, he won't be piloting anymore" Rei said not looking at akane tear fell from her eye
"Yeah, wait are you....crying?" Akane asked
Rei touched the tear and looked at it.
"Oh I guess I am, I just feel.....sad, I liked hanging out with you all, now Auska is in a coma, Shinji being discharged, our special group is no more, and shinji I.....I did L-love him" Rei said as more tears fell from her eyes.
Akane hugged her
"I know it's okay, you still have me" Akane said
Meanwhile......
Shinji packed up his stuff, Misato watched sadden but she felt hopeful of shinji now that he had grown up alot mentally and standing up to his father.
"I heard about what you said to the commander, that's some crazy shit shinji" Misato said trying to sound like she wasn't about to cry.
"Yeah, I thought about saying more but I'm a bigger man then that" Shinji said ready to walk out the door
Misato nodded.
"Heads up your probably going to be monitored and followed for the rest of your life, and your contacts will be restricted, you probably won't be able to talk to akane" misato said
"I'll find a way" shinji said
"Where will you go now? Misato asked
Shinji smiled
"Thought I would watched the world end on the beach" Shinji said
He walked away and misato let out a tear but smiled and chuckled, penpen the penguin looked up at misato, she smiled at him.
"Our boy is all grown up penpen, we make great parents don't we" she said
Later...
Shinji boarded an empty train but red lights came on
"Attention the Japanese government has declared a state of emergency"
Shinji looked up
"An angel"
