Chapter 14- The locket

Agam's Pov

As soon as we entered Raghu's study, Abhigyan said, "Speak."

"Your phone is hacked," he said, pointing at me. "My phone?" I asked in shock.

"Yes, yours," he replied while taking a sip from his drink. "And how are you so sure about it?" Abhigyan asked him.

"Seriously? You know right whom you are talking to right now?" He rolled his eyes at us and continued, "Do you remember the last day on the cruise when you were complaining about your phone working slowly?"

"Yes, so?" I said.

"Not only was your phone working slowly, but when I took your phone, saying I have some work, I wanted to check what was wrong. There were a lot of pop-ups; these are the basic things that happen when your system is hacked."

After taking another sip from his drink, he continued, "I still had to be sure, but I didn't have my proper setup to check that, so I only texted you about the venue change at the very last minute, and those assholes had no time to do anything more than just that gunshot." He said everything so casually, as if it were not a big deal.

"Do you need any more proof, or can I leave for the party?" He asked, and Akshit glared at him.

"How is this even possible? This is your personal phone, right?" Akshit asked me.

"Yup, only the close ones know about it," I replied.

"How do we know who is behind all of this?" Abhigyan asked.

"That is the sole reason I am leaving for San Francisco on Monday," Raghu said in an annoyed tone and continued, "I am taking all those burner phones and this one as well with me," he said, taking my phone from me.

"What about my data?" I asked him.

"Which data? Isn't this your personal phone?" Raghu replied.

"Ah, but what about the contacts?" I asked.

"Chill, I'll give you Sarah's number again," Abhigyan said, patting my shoulder.

All of them started laughing, and Raghu said, "Now, I beg you all to please let me go out and party."

We all left the room and went outside.

Sarah's Pov

"What are they doing inside for so long?" I asked Kavya
"I am as clueless as you are" she replied

"Here, have it" Aashna said while placing the glasses on the table in front of us

"What is this?" Kavya asked while picking up the glass and taking a sip

"It's NYC famous Aashna's special" she said proudly

"Mmm! It is so good" I said after I gulped almost the whole drink

The door opened and all of them came out laughing. What are they even laughing about, so far they all were panicking like anything for some reason

My eyes went to Agam as he removed his coat and started folding his shirt's sleeves, and oh my god his toned arms were on full display as he deftly folded up his shirt sleeves, and it was impossible not to notice how attractive he looked

Soon my eyes met his and he was having the same smirk on his face as that day
I mentally face palmed myself for acting like that and feeding his ego

I shifted my eyes instantly and then Kavu whispered to me "liking the view?"
"No! Not at all" I replied
"Oh come on, stop lying to me" She said

I was about to say something but then I heard his phone ringing, he left the room in a hurry to pick up the call
