Petalkit was up before the crack of dawn, her eyes fixated on the horizon as she watched the first rays of sunlight peek over the forest canopy. Her mind was preoccupied, filled with thoughts that refused to be silenced. What terrible fate awaited her and her clan? Would they be able to overcome it? Petalkit was plagued with uncertainty and fear, wondering if she would be able to protect her loved ones from harm. The young cat's anxiety was palpable, yet she refused to give up hope. It was then that Mallownose, a trusted friend, suggested a visit to the Moonpool, where Petalkit could speak to Starclan and seek guidance. The idea offered a glimmer of hope and Petalkit felt a sense of relief wash over her as she contemplated the possibility of finding answers to all her questions.

Feeling a strong desire to connect with StarClan, Petalkit mustered up the courage to approach Iceflower with a request. She wanted to ask the medicine cat if she could accompany her to the Moonpool during the upcoming half-moon, hoping to receive guidance from the spirits of her ancestors. With determined steps, Petalkit made her way over to the medicine cat den where Iceflower resided, eager to seek her guidance on this important matter,

As Petalkit entered the den, Iceflower greeted her warmly, calling her by name. "Hello, Petalkit! How are you today?" she asked.

Petalkit looked up at Iceflower with big, hopeful eyes. "I was wondering if I could go to the Moonpool with you!" she blurted out, her tail swishing with excitement.

Iceflower smiled gently at the young cat. "The Moonpool is a very special place, Petalkit," she said, "and only cats who are old enough and strong enough are allowed to go there."

Petalkit's ears drooped. "But I want to go!" she protested.

"I know you do, dear," Iceflower replied kindly, "but you're still too young. When you're older and have grown into a strong warrior, you'll be able to visit the Moonpool."

Petalkit nodded, understanding but disappointed. "Okay," she said softly. "I'll wait until I'm big enough."  Iceflower purred and nuzzled the young cat. "That's the spirit," she said. "Now, is there anything else I can help you with today?" She asked Petalkit let out a sigh, " No that's all!" She said as she turned around and made her way out of the medicine cat den.  Although she knew that she was still too young and inexperienced to leave camp, Petalkit couldn't help but feel disappointed. As she stepped outside, she felt the cool breeze on her fur and looked around, trying to shake off her disappointment.

Just then, Redkit came bounding over to her, her eyes shining with excitement. "Hey there, Petalkit! Do you want to play Shadowclan and Thunderclan?" she asked, her tail twitching with anticipation. Petalkit couldn't help but smile at Redkit's enthusiasm. "Sure, why not?" she replied, glad for the distraction. The two kits quickly got into position, pretending to be fierce warriors from rival clans, lost in their imaginary battle. For a while, Petalkit's worries vanished, and she was able to enjoy the moment, forgetting about her nagging questions and thoughts. Hopefully, shortly, Petalkit will have access to information that will allow her to get answers to all her queries without any difficulty.
