Chelsea's voices sounds broken and lost

I resist the urge to return the call

Next morning I find her on the 6am BBC news

Lola points at the screen with her porridge caked finger

"It's the girl!"

I sip my coffee keeping my eyes trained on her green eyes as they show her picture

"She's with mummy now" I say smiling at Lola before kissing her on the forehead

I should feel guilty

But I don't

As if she thought she was better than Nasha

Lola alternates between spoon feeding herself the porridge and slathering it on her face like foundation

"Can I be with mummy?" Lola asks slapping her hands together

I scoff

"No you cannot," I say inaudible
