Aleksandr and Dimitri. The Twins who barged into my life, especially that loud chaotic Aleksandr.

I can't stand him, he's arrogant, narcissistic, psycho, and a pain in the ass.

But he's also fun to be around, he's caring and attentive. And I don't know when I slowly let him in.

He made my mother laugh. And for that he has my heart. Maybe just maybe I have something for him.

~Cynthia R.

I shut my journal and get ready for school. Mom has been really good these weeks she's more active and talkative. Because of this the house has been more lively, everyone here adores her.

I do my daily morning routine which includes checking up on mom, and then I have Mateo drive me to school. "Have a nice day miss." I thank him and walk inside excited to see someone.

I go to the girls who are smiling at me. "There's my Cynthia!" Sydney says as she hugs me. Weird.

"The party was so fun with you there. I hope you'll start to come around more." They speak up and I tell them empty lies. The party was a one time thing. At the end of the day I was just drinking my problems away, it's no use the problem will still be awaiting me when I'm sober.

I tune them out as were walking to class. Olivia was awfully quiet, "livvy is there something wrong?" She looks at me and sighs. "You won't become like them right? You'll still be my best friend?"

My heart softens, Olivia my first friend, I'll always have a soft spot for her. She's shy, soft spoken, and always hopeful. She's too kind for this world. Our fathers are business partners and she would always come around.

Me and Olivia. It was destined for us to be childhood best friends.

"Hey, I'm not going to be like them, promise. I'll always be your best friend." We interlaced our pinky's and walked to class, her cheerful self was back.

I walked into class and sat in my regular seat, no twins in sight yet. Class started and they still haven't walked in.

What am I doing? I'm acting like a clingy girlfriend. They don't even like my presence.

School went on with no twins which was boring. By the time I got home there was laughter making me stop in my tracks. My mom and dad are happy. I sometimes get jealous of my dad, he's here and gets to hear her laugh while I'm stuck at school.

I go upstairs to get changed really quick, I put on my shorts and oversized shirt and practically run back downstairs. I enter the dinning room and see mom talking with the twins.

"Oh you're home! I missed you darling." Mom smiles at me and I go and hug her. Dad kisses the top of my head and resumes talking with Dimitri.

"Oh Cynthia I guess I forgot to tell Matteo, we're having a dinner, we invited the twins father to join us." Dad speaks up and looks at my pjs.
