Neteyam smiled at his brother and patted him on the head. Then, his attention was brought to Feya's slim body climbing into the hammock, her expression tired but still energetic from the activities of the evening. She sat on her knees and scanned for a space to lay, her ear with the loop piercing twitching in thought.
"C'mon, Sephora." Neteyam spread his arms out in a welcoming embrace, "Don't be shy."
Fey'atsi clicked her tongue, something he discovered she did often, before she smiled and delicately lowered herself across his stomach—of course, she didn't lay directly on top of him, but instead she was somewhat snuggled in between the two Sully brothers, her head resting next to Lo'ak's on Neteyam's upper ribcage with her arm splayed across his torso.
After a long while when nobody seemed to want to start a midnight conversation, Neteyam watched Feya's eyelids slide shut, her features going lax and morphing into a calm, serene harmony.
The minutes slowly turned into hours that extended long into the quiet night that seemed so unusually tranquil after all the hardship Neteyam had been through. As he watched his siblings and Feya fall asleep subconsciously, his mind drifted off into a world unknown that was full of darkness and dreams and memories. Or, in other words, his mind drifted off to sleep. He vaguely felt the sensation of Feya's arm wrapped around him, and he purposefully or not found his own hand grasping onto hers.
As he was losing consciousness more and more Fey'atsti gripped his hand endearingly and kept on sleeping. Well, he assumed she kept on sleeping since he was too exhausted to open his eyes and check, but when he felt feminine knuckles graze the side of his face he knew otherwise. Then, soft round lips planted a tender kiss on his cheek, before she settled back down and didn't move again.

When Jake was young he always knew he would create sturdy boundaries for his children whenever he had them, despite the fact he didn't think he would have kids after being shot in the spine. But, oh, how his fate changed when he arrived on Pandora.
The night was extremely late and he should have been asleep for hours by now, but his mind was too unsettled to go on lockdown, and he wasn't tired in the slightest. He stood in the small opening of the entrance of the expanse of the marui that was partially blocked by a tattered curtain, deep in thought.
Inside the expanse was his children, and while he watched, they were sound asleep as if they were babies. His kids, each piled up against each other like a litter of lion cubs, and he decided to add Feya under that same label considering she practically was a member of the Sully family now. And if she wasn't, Jake strongly believed as he noticed her and Neteyam snuggled close, she would be in a couple of years.
Staring at his eldest son in a grim way, Jake sighed heavily. The word boundaries ricocheted like ping-pong balls inside his head but he quickly dismissed the thought, because that wasn't what mattered at this point. As he looked at Neteyam, he registered how his fifteen-year-old's facial features were always showing some kind of emotion. He'd always been a somewhat expressive sleeper, but never in a loud or obnoxious way. Jake took in his son's calm, relaxed expression—how his lips were mildly parted, how his ears were positioned contently, and how his eyes, even while closed, revealed an undisturbed state of mind.
Jake was relieved to see he was no longer distressed, even during his slumber when it might not count.
From behind, slender arms suddenly wrapped themselves around Jake's neck and a chin rested on his shoulder. The sweet scent of Neytiri entered the air around him and he didn't need to look back to acknowledge her—he just reached over and placed his hand on her forearm. "MaJake," she whispered, and never spoke further until her gaze followed in the direction he was staring and her eyes rested on Neteyam. After a long beat of silence, she pressed her lips together, "He was troubled this evening."
