When Neteyam's eyes fluttered open, they were heavy. His ears twitched at the calm sound of rain that was pattering down outside, and he looked around a little.

Four blue bodies, all surrounding him in various positions as they slept. His little brother, Lo'ak, passed out above his head. Tuk and Kiri all scrunched up beside Neteyam, her hands clutching his casted arm. Spider asleep on top of Lo'ak's back, the two of them looking like idiots. Then there was Feya, her head resting across Neteyam's leg, her face relaxed as she breathed softly.

Neteyam's heart grew in size as he saw his siblings and Fey'atsi asleep peacefully around him. He tried not to move much so he wouldn't wake them, but when he tried to shift his hair out from under Lo'ak's lanky body, he couldn't help but wince sharply at the pain that shot through his shoulder and his ribs.

But it wasn't Lo'ak who woke up to the noise. It was Feya.

She blinked slowly with her big doe eyes and eventually found him, her expression full of warmth and fatigue. "Are you alright?"

Neteyam smiled upon seeing her beautiful face. "Yes, I'm fine." He looked at the tube that was snaking out of his chest and the plastic bag that was hanging off the hammock, full of blood and fluid. The sight made him uncomfortable, but he shrugged it off. "Are you comfortable like that?"

Feya glanced down at where she'd been sleeping across his leg. Then, she laughed quietly, "Yes. I didn't hurt you, did I?"

"Of course not." Neteyam reassured, shaking his head. Then, he continued to look around the marui, his eyes locating his fast-asleep parents in their hammock in the other section of their home. The jewelry and decor that was strung up inside the pod, even his Omatikayan cummerbund and visor lying on the floor. His bow, that was mounted on a rack nearby along with his mother's.

Most importantly, he relished the company of his siblings. They were all asleep around him, safe and unharmed, not a scratch to their body. They were okay. Neteyam had never felt so much gratitude and relief in a single moment before, and the feeling of security washed over him. He felt his eyes welling up with tears.

"Oh, Neteyam." Feya breathed, "What is wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong," he quickly responded, his voice thick with emotion. "I'm just happy to be home."

Even though it was still dark outside, he could see a smile grow on Feya's features, her teeth glinting in the shadows of the marui.  Her smile made him smile, and they just stared at each other like that, their expressions full of love and serenity. The whole situation just seemed so intimate--she was laying across him, and he was gazing at her, bathing in the fact that she was okay, and she was here with him.

"I was so afraid for you, Neteyam." Feya eventually muttered, "I didn't know how we were going to rescue you, or if we even could. You were injured when they took you. But you came back." she let out a breath of joy, "I'm more than happy that you're here now. With all of us." she added, With me."

Neteyam's heart skipped a beat as he took in her words. His ears fell back, and then they perked forward. "Well, I couldn't stay away from you for that long."

A faded purple hue bloomed across Feya's face she laughed, a grin amplifying her dimpled cheeks. "No, I suppose you couldn't."

A few minutes after they sat in another bout of comfortable silence, Neteyam felt his siblings begin to shift as they gradually woke up. Lo'ak was the first one to fully awake, kicking Spider off of him in the process. "Get off me, bro!" he hissed, his voice hushed.
