Fey'atsi laid her bags down on the floor of the Sully's marui pod where most of the sunlight didn't reach and the air was cool, unlike the sweltering heat outside. She set out her belongings in an organized, neat fashion. That mostly consisted of traditional Omaticayan jewelry and some leftover snacks she'd eaten on the way to the reef.
Fe'ya turned her head to see Lo'ak dropping some other packages onto the floor carelessly, his forehead trickling with sweat. Soon after him came Jake, who also dumped some stuff onto the ground.
She rested her hands on her knees, "You guys didn't have to carry all that. I could have made two trips." It had been only a couple hours since they'd arrived--they'd brought some of their stuff in, but Neytiri had forced Neteyam to take a nap, and she made Feya relax a little bit before they unpacked everything. Now, late into the evening, they were getting it finished.
Lo'ak smirked, "That wouldn't be polite." He let the bag slide off his shoulder onto the ground.
Fey'atsi watched Neytiri, Tuk and Kiri, along with an aqua colored teenage girl with long, curly hair, a finned tail and thick arms sit in a circle. They were each smiling, passing around jokes while chopping vegetables and throwing them in a boiling, hanging pot over a small fire. Tuk and Kiri play gently with one another, every few seconds bopping their noses friskily when the other isn't paying attention. Neytiri watched them, a soft warmth in her eyes as she carries a small conversation with the aqua girl, who is helping with the simmering pot.
It wasn't quite unusual for Feya to see such a close-knit family, but she still felt warmth bloom in her chest watching on. Among her many different households, she would always join whichever family she was staying with at the time during their nightly meals. But somehow, the Sully's dynamic seemed different, and she wasn't sure why just yet.
She supposed the Sully family had their own type of fun during the evening.
Lo'ak, who Feya knew as the youngest brother, had started a speech about being a 'man' when a woman was present, ignoring or oblivious to the fact that Jake and Neteyam were smirking discreetly, although nobody was really paying attention.
Neteyam went over and cuffed him on the arm, "Well, I don't see any men around here, do I?" he was clearly trying to get under his brother's skin, but Lo'ak only rolled his eyes and shoves the eldest away, a smile on the verge of his mouth.
Jake interrupted the scene with a low, rumbling voice. "Hey," he said, "careful."
The warning seemed to set Neteyam off more than Lo'ak and the younger boy slowly backed away, a slight frown curving his chin. Lo'ak looked to his father and back to his brother, before uttering a small "Sorry".
Fey'atsi sat awkwardly on her knees, acting like she didn't feel the tension crackle between the three Sully men. Neytiri had noticed the small riff between them and was watching with a neutral expression, still managing to keep her conversation afloat with her daughters. Feya just kept organizing her things, placing each item in their own box and stacking the cases atop one another.
Lo'ak eventually joined his mother and his sisters in their activities.
Jake sighed."Okay, I guess you'll sleep with the rest of the kids." He gestured towards a large hammock that hung close by. "Tuk is like a leech, so feel free to move her around a little. We're all pretty early risers, but don't feel compelled to get up when we do. Do what you want, as long as you stay with any of us and most importantly, don't get into trouble."
Feya nodded urgently. She respected Jake but was quite timid at sharing a home with Toruk Makto, as he seemed to be an intimidating man. But nevertheless, she had Neteyam to hang around. She wasn't intimidated around him.
