Chapter 6

Gwaine was very worried for his friend and the magical prince he had sworn to protect something was severely wrong with Merlin and Gwaine could definitely tell. { Gwaine knew of Merlin’s magic he didn't know about the others but he suspected Lancelot like him had known even seen it he wondered if it was because two people knew his secret that could get him executed if the information fell into the wrong hands that had him all worked up} Gwaine sighed

For starters he was pale much too pale and when he had touched his forehead to check for signs of a fever Merlin was burning up the light in his eyes was slightly dimmer than Gwaine had ever seen them Merlin’s eyes were always bright with happiness but they were dimmer Merlin was always a bright and optimistic boy and Gwaine knew people had counted on Merlin’s bright cheery and optimistic personality Gwaine counted on Merlin’s bright cheery and optimistic in the face of anything and everything behaviour but this, this was just wrong

Merlin forced a smile at both Gwaine and Lancelot like Gwaine, Lancelot could tell that something was wrong the moment the meeting was over Merlin dissapeared

I dont have my magic Gaius, Without it I'm nothing! Without it I'm weak and drained before noon. Without it I can't save my friends, no family, all of them because that's what they are to me, the older brothers I always wanted but never had ! Merlin’s voice dropped slightly. If they die, how can I live with myself, Gaius ? How do you expect me to live with that Gaius he was shouting again.

How do you expect me to live knowing I could have done something to save them?! Lancelot already died once I can't go through that again. Lancelot had his ear pressed against the door listening.

Lancelot and Gwaine are already starting to suspect somethings wrong as they look at me with concern in their eyes during every one of Arthur's roundtable meetings their not believing the forced smiles and it's only a matter of time before the others Arthur, Leon, Percival, Elyan, and even Gwen will start to suspect something is wrong.

I can't watch them die Gaius. I can't lose any one of them and without my magic that will happen Gaius one of them will die or all of them. Quickly but without being heard Lancelot ran to Gwaine’s chambers bursting into the room without knocking something that reminded both Gwaine and Lancelot of Merlin.

Well hello to you Gwaine joked he was staring out the window dressed in a pair of pants and no shirt. I know what's wrong with Merlin! That quieted Gwaine. He's afraid we’ll die in battle before Gwaine could say anything Lancelot rushed to continue. He thinks of us all the knights of the round table as the older brothers he always wanted but never had.

That doesn't explain why he's burning up with a fever and pale much too pale Gwaine groaned as he fell onto the bed

He doesn't have his magic…. and he can't live with himself knowing he could have done something to save us but cant cause he doesn't have his…magic he knows we both suspect somethings wrong and he knows it's only a matter of time before the others Arthur, Andrew Leon, Percival, Elyan, and even Gwen will start to suspect something is wrong as well.
