Jaune Arc's journey up north led him to face various adversaries, from fearsome Grimm to ruthless bandits and even elusive traveling pirates. Despite being just 11 years old, he gained a reputation for his exceptional swordsmanship and tactical skills, earning him rumors and whispers among the people he encountered. Jaune's abilities seemed too incredible for his age, but those who witnessed him in action knew better than to underestimate him.
His travels took him to the small village of Kuroyuri, where he heard tales of a formidable man named Li Ren, who was not a huntsman but possessed incredible strength. Intrigued, Jaune decided to seek him out and, without hesitation, entered a local bar.
The sight of a child casually walking into a bar with a sword caught the attention of many patrons. They stared at him, amused and intrigued by the audacity of such a young boy.
Jaune: Does a man named Li Ren live here?
His tone was neither a question nor a demand; it carried a quiet confidence that left no room for hesitation. The onlookers chuckled at the boy's boldness, underestimating him due to his age.
The bartender leaned over the table, eyeing Jaune curiously. He had never seen such strange eyes in anyone, as if the boy was observing his surroundings like a predator observing his prey every move.
Bartender: Li Ren, huh? Why are you looking for him, kid?
The bartender's curiosity piqued, he awaited Jaune's response, wondering what this young boy's business with Li Ren could be. But Jaune remained unfazed by the amused crowd around him, paying no mind to those he deemed weak.

Bartender: Li Ren lives to the south, closer to the capital.
With a nod of acknowledgment, Jaune wasted no time in expressing gratitude and promptly left the bar. The bartender, still bewildered by the encounter, couldn't help but shake his head at the strange child's abrupt departure.
Outside the bar, some inebriated patrons found amusement in teasing the bartender for appearing flustered.
Drunk: Hahaha! Joey! You're sweating like crazy! What's got you so worked up?
Drunken Woman: Did a little kid scare you, Joey?! Hahaha!
Unaware of his own sweating, the bartender tried to brush off their remarks, but inwardly, he couldn't help but wonder what kind of unusual child had crossed his path.
As Jaune walked through the cluttered alleyways of the village, his keen senses and semblance alerted him to a small figure nearby. He considered investigating, but ultimately decided it was not worth his time and continued on his way.
Using his Observation Haki Semblance, Jaune scanned the village, seeking out the person with the strongest aura. After a few minutes of searching, he grew slightly frustrated as he had yet to find his target. Just as he was about to give up and leave, he noticed a man walking with a young boy carrying shopping bags. Something about their presence sparked his interest, and Jaune knew he had found Li Ren.
