12|A Little Freedom

"Elianna?" He asked calmly.

"Yes?"

"Take your ass off of my dick."

My eyes widened and I immediately moved forward.

That was not his hip.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know that it was your-"

"Stop talking and move," he cut me off.

I listened to him because I knew things would get more awkward if I kept talking.

I went back to the edge of the bed just to make sure nothing like that happened again.

"Get out," he said.

I sat up. "What? Why? I said I was sorry. It was just an accident. If I had known you would be so close to me I wouldn't-"

"For goodness sake, Elianna. Get out!" He shouted at me. "Don't come back until I tell you to. You can also bring a new sheet when you come back."

I looked at him and he was dead serious.

I mean he was giving me a little freedom from this bedroom but I wanted to stay.

"Do I have to repeat myself?" He asked as he gave me a look that scared the shit out of me.

I came out from under the sheets and rushed to the door.

"Don't try anything. If you attempt to leave, you won't make it far," he warned.

I opened the door and then left.

Luca gave me a look.

I sighed. "Don't look at me like that. He said not to come back until he calls  for me."

He then looked away from me and I started walking.

I didn't know what to do or where to go really so I just walked.

Luca made sure to follow closely behind me.

"Why are you even working for him? Is the pay that good?" I asked as I looked back at him.

He looked at me before looking forward.

"You can find a way better job than just standing up outside my bedroom all day," I suggested as we walked down the stairs. "I'm sure it gets boring."

"For me, I have no choice but for you, you can get out of this. Enzo is a really dangerous guy and you shouldn't work for him."

I pleaded and pleaded to him but he still looked forward.

We reached the kitchen and I saw Ms. Rossi look up to me before immediately looking back down.

I walked up to her. I felt guilty. I don't usually act like that but this was a new environment for me and everything felt overwhelming.

I hated that she got the wrong opinion of me.

"Ms. Rossi, can we talk?" I asked nicely.

She was cutting up seasonings.

"You are the boss's wife so I can't decline."

I frowned. "I don't want you to call me that because I'm more than just his wife. I was someone first before I married him."

She paused and looked at me.

"Ms. Rossi, I'm really sorry that I talked to you like that. I was having trouble adjusting so I guess my anger went out on you."

She stopped looking at me and continued chopping. "Grab a knife. I won't cook for a man who has a wife. I will teach you how to make Mr. Mariano's favorite dish so you can get on his good side."

I faked a smile before grabbing a knife and helping her chop.

We chopped up some onions, garlic, celery and chivees.

"Pass the seasonings in the bottles," she told me and I did exactly that.

I wasn't sure what all she needed so I grabbed all of them.

She watched me bring them with a smile. "Oh dear, not all of these. Let me pick out the ones we want."

She started to sort them out before her eyes widened.

"Oh no! What is this one doing in here?" She shouted. "It was Fiona! I told her to put it back!"

"What's-what's wrong?" I asked frightened.

She handed it to me. "Here, put this is one in the cupboard over there. Mr. Mariano is very allergic to it."

"Why do you have it in the kitchen then? Someone could easily use it."

"Mr. Sebastian loves when I use it," she said.

I nodded my head before walking to the cupboard. Before I opened the door, I paused.

"Wait, when you said he is very allergic, is it to the point where he could die?" I asked, already cooking up a plan in my head.

"Yes ma'am. Put it away quickly so  I can show you how I make the sauce."

I took one last look at the sesame extract bottle and made a mental note of where I put it.

We spent the next hour and a half making a pasta dish which Enzo apparently loved.

Enzo soon came downstairs.

"Mr. Mariano!" She stopped him as he was heading out the door. He started walking to us.

"Mrs. Mariano, with my guidance of course, made your favourite dish!"

She turned to me. "His mother taught me how to make it. Now I have taught you."

I looked up to him and he was already examining me.

Ms. Rossi picked up a fork and handed it to him. "Taste some before it gets cold."

He looked away from me to her. "I don't want any."

"But Mr. Mariano-"

"Luca, take her back to the bedroom," he said before turning away and walking out.
