You could hear the chirping of the grasshoppers and crickets as you felt sleep take over your body. You were beyond tired after the sleepless nights and even your naptimes consumed by Jungkook not that you would exchange it for anything else. Jungkook and your limbs were tangled together.

Even though everything was perfect after so many hardships in your life you couldn't believe it still how you got so lucky. A year ago you wouldn't have had imagined ever getting married again or having kids. And now here you were in love with a man who loved you more, engaged to him, raising two kids without whom you couldn't imagine life anymore.

There was a part of you which was scared of losing it all over again not because of fear of yourself getting hurt but more for the kids and their father who'd already gone through such a great grief. 

You woke up in the middle of the night to look at the kids once. You noticed it was very hot even though the portable fan was running. Jungkook had a tendency to sleep through even the hottest weather so he was still asleep. You felt something was wrong in your gut. You went out with your phone's torch to check upon the kids.

As soon as you stepped out you saw the house set ablaze. You were shocked to your very core. All your sleepiness left your body in an instant. Your first instinct was to shout Jungkook's name who came outside when he found you absent. The first thing your mind acted upon was to run and get the kids outside the tent. You ripped the zipper of the tent and picked them up causing them to wake. Ria had woken up due to the noise but Yejun only woke up when you carried him. Jungkook followed through panicking as he grabbed Ria from you and ran as far as he could with her. You followed behind him as Yejun cried in your arms hugging you and pressing his face into your shoulder.

You all did safely reach outside the property before the fire spread and the smoke increased. You saw some people starting to gather around the house as the fire only kept increasing.

Jungkook was numb from his head to toe, thanking his fate for having you all safely by his side in time. He was clueless about what to do or how it happened. Drenched in sweat, his hands were shaking as he stretched it carrying Ria with one hand and touched your back.

"What to do?" He muttered to you as you were in a shocked utterly confused state too.

"I don't know... do you have your phone?"

"Yes I grabbed our phones before getting out of the tent" he said voice still low and indicating shock.

"Call the fire department" you said trying to calm Yejun as he silently cried holding you tightly.

"We already did that. They're on their way." A young couple told you as you turned around to look at them. They were locals who were still awake and heard the noises of the fire causing things to break down as it started in the front of the house which weren't audible to you.

"Come with us and have some water." The lady asked you and you went with her to the porch of her house. You made Yejun sit down but he refused to leave you.

"Sweetie you're safe now." You told him but he was still too scared.

"You're safe baby" you said stroking Ria's cheeks who was equally scared.

"The firemen and the police is here" you went along with Jungkook holding the kids hands as you walked outside not wanting to linger any longer at a stranger's house, not feeling safe.

Yejun and Ria were accompanied by two police officials while you and Jungkook were being questioned.
You were in a disheveled state, messy hair, pajamas, sort of a sex smell and sweat over your body, you looked like a ghost unable to catch up on sleep.
