In the morning you woke up with a mild headache and went to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. While you were pouring the hot water, Jungkook came in too. His hair was messy and he washed his face to reduce the sleepiness from his eyes.

"Would you mind giving me some coffee?" He asked you as he walked further to stand beside you.

"Sure, I know you can't live without coffee" you say as you transfer some into his mug and move away with yours.

"Wait..." He said as he gripped your arm to stop you. He turned you around slowly.

"I have work" you say trying to leave but he doesn't let you.

"I need to know... why?" He asks before taking a sip of his coffee.

"Look Jungkook..."

"Yeah I'm looking"

"Could you be serious for a minute?"

"I could be serious my whole life" you frown at his reply.

"if something happens between us it's gonna turn into a very serious thing with lots of commitments."

"Like what?"

"Like marriage and all... and then we'll have expectations. I'm afraid you'll want things from me that I can't give you. I have tried the whole marriage thing and I'm not very sure I'm gonna do it again."

"That's not what I have on my mind. I have children, I had a married life I don't need that. We can just stay casual without any labels or commitments"

"There's children involved. What are we gonna tell them?"

"We don't have to..."

"Are you sure you could do it? You had sex with me twice and fell in love with me... you were stuck up on me for months"

"You've got no idea"

"Right..."

"I have a feeling that the kids already think of us as a couple"

"Jungkook..."

"I don't see the point here. We can have everything we want. No matter how much we try to deny it... we're a family now" He says holding your hand and rubbing his thumb on your knuckles.

"And what if it doesn't works out. What if we break up? What will happen to them? Ever thought about that..." you say pushing his hand away.

"I'm very sure you'll be my last. Trust me I've had this feeling before and it's coming back to me now and I know it's stronger than before and I can't help it..."

"Jungkook I.. just.. its" you stutter to make a sensible answer as your stomach twisted into a knot and you couldn't work your mind. You could only see him looking at you with a certain look which was different from usual.

"I know you feel it too. Tell me you know how I feel" He said taking the coffee mug from your hand and keeping it aside. He stood in front of you with his hands by your side resting on the counter. You tried to distract yourself by looking away to think straight.

"I need time to think about it. Its not something we can do impulsively like before. I need to properly think about it..." you said as you tried to move him away from you.

"Okay" He nodded his head and walked away with his coffee mug to the living room.

He sat on the couch watching the news when the kids woke up and came upto him, telling him all about their dreams and cuddled with him on the couch. There was another thought that creeped your mind that this family wasn't something you created, it was created by Dahyun and you didn't knew if it would be the right thing to call them your own. Someday you would leave maybe when they're a bit more grown up that had always been the thought at the back of your mind. You felt like it would be reaping the benefits of someone's else's efforts.

You busied yourself with cooking lunch while Jungkook helped the kids complete their homework and then took them to their taekwondo class. When they came back you made sure to have the table set up with hot freshly cooked food. You helped Yejun eat before you ate your food although he insisted he would eat on his own.

Jungkook passed you a smile sitting across the table from you.

"Dad?" Ria said in between taking another bite.

"Yes sweetie"

"Are you and aunty gonna get married? Is she going to be our mom?" Jungkook got startled by the sudden question. You knew it was coming. They would grasp the situation and ask questions.

"Ria we're not a couple. We don't have any plans as such."

"It's weird that you live with us"

"Ria that's rude" Jungkook told her.

"Do you not like me being here?" You ask her fearing your worst fears coming true. Maybe regardless of your efforts they didn't really like your presence.

"No its fun... but we're a weird family"

"It's not always necessary to have a family with a mom and a dad and kids. A family can look like whatever you want it to look like." Jungkook said looking at both of his kids.

"But why can't she be our mom?" Yejun asks.

"Honey because I'm not married to your dad." You try to make him understand.

"Then why can't you marry him?"

"You need to love a person a lot to marry them"

"Do you not love dad?"

"I love him as a friend but there's another kind of love that exists which grown ups have between them.... look its just that I'm living here to take care of you guys and me and your dad are not a couple. Okay?"

"Yeah okay..." He says focusing back on his food.

"And if anything changes we would tell you both."

"There's no other homework left right?" Jungkook changes the topic of conversation and they answer "no" together.

"So then you can take a nap and then we can go to the park in the evening" you tell them as they take the last bite of food keeping their plates in the kitchen sink.

"Aunty... Yejun's throwing water on me."
Ria shouts from the bathroom when they go to wash their hands.

"She did it first" Yejun says in defense. Jungkook goes there to find them pushing each other and parts them.

"no fighting" He says calmly trying to keep his volume down.

"Say sorry and hug it out" He says washing his hands and then walks out.

You watch them run to their rooms where Ria reads a book to Yejun as they lie on her bed. You don't disturb them as she sleeps beside him after he dozes off.

"This is what Dahyun convinced me with to have another..." Jungkook said as he stood behind you while you watched both of them.

"It's nice..." you reply. Jungkook turns around to walk away to his room when you call his name to stop him.

"Let's go talk in my room" you tell him and you both walk to your room together.
