As I slowly stirred from my sleep, my eyes were met with the half-opened curtains that allowed the morning sunlight to creep into the room. Squinting against the dazzling rays, I instinctively turned around, hiding from the brightness outside. And there, lying beside me, My eyes landed on Cate, peacefully lost in dreams. A tender smile graced my lips as I gazed at her, taking in the calm that painted her features.

Wrapped in the comforter we had shared, Cate seemed so content, still so effortlessly beautiful. It's always my favorite thing when I rarely wake up before her, to be greeted with either her little tired snores or simply her innocent sleeping face that comes with her open mouth. I have pictures.

And as I waited for her to wake up, I couldn't help but recall our night together. A smile uncontrollably creeps within my lips as the images play like a film in my head. I remember it so well, how we kissed magnetically, how this very room was full of our sighs, and how we made love. A complete euphoria.

Then, Cate suddenly stirred beside me, slowly awakening from her peaceful slumber. Her eyes fluttered open, and a sleepy smile tugged at the corners of her lips when she saw me. I couldn't help but mirror her expression. My heart overflows with fondness for the woman lying next to me.

"Hi," I whispered, my voice still groggy from sleep. "Good morning."

Cate's gaze met mine, and her smile deepened. "Good morning," she replied, her voice filled with warmth and a hint of huskiness.

I gently brushed her hair away from her face, a tender gesture as I spoke, "I woke up first," I whispered, a little boastful and proud at the same time.

She chuckled lightly with her eyes closed, and then she reached my waist, moving us closer to each other and responding just between us, "You wore me out last night."

My cheeks flushed at her words, a mix of embarrassment and a thought that...maybe I really did? I quickly brush it off by grabbing the comforter, covering myself up to my upper body, and stammered, "I don't... I don't know what you're talking about."

Then, we both shared a soft giggle, knowing it was the opposite of what I just said.

A comfortable silence settled between us, and with my closed eyes, I cursed and asked myself, why the fuck am I shy in front of Cate? We're not teenagers-Alright, we act like one-But, we're not innocent. We already had a conversation about this, openly talk about it-Ugh, I just wanna punch myself.

Pulling out of my thoughts, Cate slowly pulled the blanket down, and I looked at her with a question.

"You're hiding your face again."

I faintly smiled, "You know why," I mumbled with a sigh before burying myself into her side, "We had...you know, sex."

Embracing each other, I heard a little chuckle from Cate as she rubbed my back, "Yeah, we did." Then, I felt her kiss my cheeks softly, "...And you were exceptionally wonderful."

I felt my cheeks blush again from what she said. Slowly, I moved closer to Cate while softly brushing my feet to hers, "Cate, it's my... first time," I chuckled, "Gosh, I can't even say it without being shy."

Cate hummed softly, "That's alright," She said, then kissed me on my cheeks again, "Me too."

Trying to lighten the mood, I slowly leaned away to see her face and teasingly said, "Do you mean with a woman or..."
