chapter Twenty Three: Awake

Your eyes met.
Sparks were everywhere.
You softly looked at him wiping away your tears.

"Good morning baby" you smiled.

"y/n" trying to stand up.

"No no stay still, I'm here .. I'm here..the nurses will come and check up on you"

"i-i'm fine" he whispered as his hand tried to reach your cheek to caress it.
Suddenly his expression turned into frustration and worry.

"you okay Chris? how do you feel?"

"b-baby...your leg..h-how's your leg?" he asked.

"oh no no I'm completely fine don't worry about me...I missed you so much, I was really scared"

"Dont be scared babygirl... I'm here now.. I'm back..no one can hurt you while I'm by your side"

"Im not afraid of anyone Chris, i was afraid cuz I thought I lost you .. that's my biggest fear." you said.

"Im not going anywhere I'm here for you... always"

The door opened revealing Hyunjin and Felix.

"CHRIS" Both of them said in union.
They ran to his bed.

"Finally you're awake mate"

"Im glad you're okay boss...y/n why did you leave your room alone, you're wound is still healing"

"wait y/n babygirl why..?" said Chris.

"what..you can't blame me guys...I couldn't leave Chris alone" you said lowering your gaze.

"I'll call the nurses for the check up" said Felix.

"come on y/n you have to eat and take your meds...Han already prepared your food" said Hyunjin.

"No i wanna stay here with Chris"

"Baby girl no ... I'm fine.. as much as I want you here by my side..I want you to take care of yourself.. take your meds and we'll spend the rest of the day together I promise"

you slowly nodded, he's right. Both of you need to take care of yourselves.

"Good girl" He said smiling.

You heart started racing, you've always loved thay nickname.

Hyunjin helped you to your room, softly placing you on your bed.

"Eat these, and take your meds... I'm not leaving until you finish all of this"

"Hyunjin I'm okay I promise"

"y/n stop being stubborn for once...I'll keep you company... and later we can all hang out.."

"With Chris?"

"yes with Chris, dear"

You spend the whole morning with Hyunjin and then Seungmin joined you.

They tried their best to entertain you.
Babying you.
Sharing funny stories about Changbin and laughing their asses off with you.
They really made you feel better.

"How's Chris doing, miss?" asked Leeknow.

"Hes recovery pretty well. He's lucky to wake up after hours only, other people take days to wake up from coma.." said the nurse.

"what can we do to help?"asked Changbin

"He needs to take meds regularly until he finishes them. He shouldn't move around a lot. and he shouldn't exhaust himself. the wound is still healing. It will take a week at least."
