Dear Diary, well.... here it is! My first day of school IN ITALY!!!!! I am so nervous! My school is called "Stella Scoule Medie" which is Italian for "Star Middle School." My home and school from the outside looks a little something like this.

Oh yeah- and for the next four months I don't have to worry about choosing what I am going to wear everyday because now I have a school uniform.

Honestly, I kind of like the uniform! I think it is actually kind of cute... well I am about to go into school.... here we go!!

Dear Diary, I have only been here for 2 hours and I can already tell that the students here are wayyyyyy more sophisticated than in America!!!

Oh and if you were wondering- there is a translator shadowing me since I don't know Italian. But this is a semi-english speaking school so I don't have to worry too much.

I thought lunch was going to be like... action packed... I was wrong. In fact- I didn't even eat in the cafeteria- I ate in the office with my translator. So not much to tell there.

First day of school and I can already tell who the most popular girls at "Stella Scoule Midie" are. There is an entire "cool" group... they call themselves "La Spezies" which is Italian for "The spices." They walk around the hallways, rule the school, everyone wants to be them. And I have conducted some research on the members of "La Spezies"

I think out of the 4 "Hefner Heartbreakers"... which is what Raven's dad nicknamed us... I had the worst day! My day wasn't horrible but my mom said she loves her new job here in Italy, Rose already has a new best friend and Mara "sits right next to the crayon box."
But Rose it's her senior year of high school.... last year of school! And Mara is in second grade. I'm in eighth grade which is right in the middle of all the grades! How is my social status going to be when I get back to Illinois?
