I pull into the garage, my stuff untouched.
I dump off the toolbox and laptop here and then head into my room, dumping my bag off.
Ahri limps inside then falls when she tries to climb the stairs.
Ahri: Agh! *Sharp inhale*
Y/N: Ahri! I got you...
Ahri and I lock eyes again.
Inside we both see the same thing.
The dire need to catch up, to love each other once again, forgiveness, sorrow, and happiness all rolled into one.
We kiss, but this time it feels different.
It heats my body up, so I go in further.
I kiss her as I sit down on the stairs with her, making her mine once again.
Ahri: To think I could find anyone like you...
Y/N: You too... no other Vastayan is as beautiful as you...
Ahri: Mmm...
I kiss her more, and more, and finally, separate to help her up.
Anivia: I see you've already done what was needed... I will see you again, I don't know when, don't know where... but goodbye Y/N...
I hear a distant screech of a phoenix, then silence in my head.
I pick Ahri up again, carrying her up to her room.
Kai: Oh boy, Eve? Who did you bring home to torture this ti-
*METAL SLAM! GLASS BREAKING!*
She drops a platter that had a bunch of dishes on it.
Kai whispers: Y-Y-Y/N...
Y/N whispers: Shhh! I want to be a surprise...
I lay Ahri down in her bed examining the damage.
They went for her kneecaps.
Her knees are bruised, she has cuts on her arms and legs, but nothing seems broken.
I head downstairs and see Kai cleaning up in the kitchen... with... quite a profitable posterior...
I'd walk up and smack it, only that would just be so wrong to do after being away from her for a month.
I gently tap her back.
Kai: Ah! Oh... shit... Y/N...
Y/N: S-sorry I didn't want to scare you... need help?
Kai: You can help by answering me one question... how are you here?
She picks up the platter with all the smashed dishes, putting them on the counter and facing me.
She stares me down, from head to toe.
Then she zeroes in on my new eyes.
Y/N: I got scooped up by some gods, convinced me to kill Jhin, paid me with immortality, now I'm here.
Kai: Freljord?
Y/N: How'd you know?
Kai caresses my cheeks with her cold hands.
Kai: You're freezing... your eyes glow blue like little icicles...
I really like her soft voice; I could lay on a bed made of it.
Y/N: Keep talking...
Kai: Eh?
Y/N: It's so nice to hear your voice again...
