Travel is said to broaden the mind,
It can be very beneficial to you.
Think of the new things you may find,
Just bear in mind that it can scar too.
You will discover new traditions,
Beliefs and customs too,
Some stimulate new inclinations,
Others will appal and horrify you.
You will see vibrant colours,
Observe unfamiliar landscapes,
See grandeur and squalor,
New ideas will be shaped.
Anything that you may discover
Can give you food for thought,
You may want to share this with others,
So write what travel has taught.
If travelling take the opportunity
To assimilate all that you see,
Inspiration you will find,
Ambrosia for your active mind.
