Poet's Muses

The Ancient Greeks who wrote poetry

Had a muse for their specific style.

They would beseech them and cry

'I need inspiration muse, stay with me a while!.'

I know not of Euterpe, Clio or Terpsichore,

Their names, though famous, do not mean much to me,

Long forgotten, lying dormant in a long past history.

They cannot inspire me, I must rely on what I see.

For me there is no one great muse

To inspire me and spark my fuse,

Such a dream would just serve to me confuse,

I am content to let my thoughts drift and so myself amuse.
