A Guide to Being the Best Big Siblings (Ages 5 and Up)

A/N: I dont really know a five-year-old capacity so work with me, please.

It's been five weeks since they learned Jo was pregnant. The couple had only told Kevin so far. They were enjoying it being their little thing. That little piece of the two of them that no one else knew about. Jo having her heart issues she needs closer monitoring. That morning Lizzie walked down the stairs to see Jo sitting at the kitchen table her arm out while she took her blood pressure, "You okay hun?" she asked,

Jo looked over at the screen "110/70"

Lizzie popped her head out from the fridge, "Isn't that a little low?"

"Not for a pregnant woman."

Lizzie smiled brightly as she grabbed the raspberries out of her fridge. Lizzie walked over sitting them on the table, "We need to tell our family."

Jo nodded, "I want to tell the twins first." she popped a raspberry in her mouth

Lizzie smiled contently, "Whatever you want."

It was a magical thing. Ever since that day at Disney Lizzie has had this continentness to her. A gentle calmness that baths Jo in such a feeling of peace she doesn't understand. This pregnancy has changed Jo too. She is still free-spirited and fun but she's much more intentional now. Everything, every plan is calculated. Lizzie thinks in the back of her mind Jo is planning on taking a long leave after the birth. 

Jo looked over at the clock on the stove, "Twins in 3...2...1..."

"Mommy! Mama!"

Lizzie and Jo laughed at one another their morning alone has ended as the sound of the twins reached their ears. Addie went to Lizzie as Bettan climbed up Jo. Jo sat Bettan on her knee, "How did you two monsters sleep?" Jo tickled Bettan,

"We aren't monsters!" he giggled,

"Oh really?" Jo asked,

"Mama," Bettan dramatically tipped his head back,

Jo laughed putting her hands on his face she kissed his forehead. "I love you,"

"I love you more."

"I loved you first."

All the while this was happening Lizzie had managed to to have rolled Addie over her shoulder. Lizzie went to stand walking her over to Jo, Jo kissed Addie's cheek. Jo stood up, "I have to go to work love bugs."

Lizzie put Addie down so she could join in on the goodbye hugs. Jo moved to the floor so they could both wrap their arms around her neck. "I love you Adeline." she kissed her head, "I love you Bettan." she kissed his head, and when she pulled back she stood before she put her hands on her hips looking at the twins with a sigh, "Am I forgetting anything?"

"Cheer!"

"Cheer!"

Jo and Lizzie laughed. They love Lindsey Gurks (Tiktok) cheer and Jo had made a habit of doing it with them every morning. Jo said "Ready?!"

"Yeah!" They both screamed,

"Are we kind?

"Yeah!

"Do we love all of our body and our mind?" Jo pointed to her head,

They jumped around, "Yeah!"

"Are we creative?"

"Yeah!"

"Are we courageous?" Jo flexed her muscles,

"Yeah!"

"Is the love and light we show just so courageous?" she threw her arms up,
