~*~ New Years Eve. Tradition to celebrate with your loved ones, or by yourself. Every year, you at least take a person or multiple people to celebrate this day. But this year was different.
"Y/NNN!!" You heard a high pitched voice call out your name. You lifted your head, almost dozing off as you forced your body to stay awake till New Years.
"Y/N! Y/N!!" The voice called out your name once again. You eventually find Mitsuri in your face with a huge smile on her face, catching her breath in the process. You catch your yawn before speaking. "Yes?" You blink, rubbing your face a bit.
"Can I ummmm...." Mitsuri paused, shaking her body side to side with a blush already appearing on her face. She covered her mouth before finally speaking again. "Can we go somewhere together for New Years?" Mitsuri questioned, quickly speaking again before you could open your mouth. "I..I know where it is!" Mitsuri placed her hands infront of her with a smile.
"Of course." You gave a soft smile as Mitsuri's face lit up instantly. "Yaaay! Thank you sooo much, Y/N!" Mitsuri giggled, twirling around a bit in victory. You gave a nod back, watching her slowly skip off to get ready. You lifted your head up at the sky. A few more hours, then I can go to sleep. You shake your head a bit. No, this is about Mitsuri. I should match her energy. A small exhale exited your mouth, slowly dropping your head.
You already suspected it was a small romantic date she had placed. Mitsuri sped-walked outside once again in a new appearance. Almost choking on air, you sit up a bit, observing her. She had on a long, black dress, some of the small patterns were white. Of course, she had a coat along with her, since it was freezing outside.
You felt your face heat up a bit, looking at her up and down. Mitsuri giggled a bit at your reaction. "Ehe, sooo do you like it?" Mitsuri questioned, turning around, so you could see the full dress. "You're stunning..!" You give a nod to the cheerful girl.
"It's not a long walk. But, shall we gooo?" Mitsuri smiled, tilting her head as you gave a full nod. You rise to your feet, holding Mitsuri's hand as you both walk to the location. The sun was slowly starting to set as you both walked together. Mitsuri swung you arm along with hers like a small, happy child.
Though you were exhausted, you kept up with her energy. Mitsuri didn't lie about the walking part being short. About a couple of minutes and you were there. Mitsuri already have a small set up ready and open. It was like a mini picnic with lots of food and an open area for just the two of you.
You pause, looking at the scenery. It was stunning! Mitsuri set this place up by herself too. Mitsuri saw your reaction as she gave a smile. "Ahaha! I'll take that reaction as you like it?" The girl blinked. "I love it!" You cover your mouth, still stunned.
"Yay! Yaay!" Mitsuri clapped her hands. "Glad you love it!" Mitsuri gently grabbed your hand. "C'mon!" She tugged on your arm a bit.
You both sit down, talk and eat waiting for New Years Day to arrive. They were also an indoors close by, in case you both get cold or sleepy. You both joke around a bit, getting close to eachother. There were already fireworks before New Years Day, so you both admire the work.
"Ooo look! That one looks like a cute bunny!" Mitsuri pointed up at the sky, tapping your shoulder. "Ah, I see it." You give a nod. You grow more and more drowsy by the second, Mitsuri is the only one keeping you awake. You lean against her a bit as she feels the force from your body.
Mitsuri tapped your shoulder, shaking you gently as you flinch, waking up. "You can rest if you want. I'm not forcing you to stay awake..!" Mitsuri gave a smile, her voice become more lower than normal. She was growing a bit tired as well.
You shake your head, forcing your body the stay awake once more. You both didn't know what the time was, but it felt pretty close to a new year. Minutes went by as no sign of a new year was strucked. Eventually, New Years Day hit, but by the time it did, both you and Mitsuri collapsed and dozed off together.
