Hashibira Inosuke | Hiding Your Beauty

You'd lean against a tree in the forest with Inosuke. It was late spring season, making the days getting warmer.

You'd softly hum a small tune, your childhood lullaby under your breath. The tune sounded angelic, soft and gentle. Inosuke relaxed his body, not making a sound until he was halfway asleep.

You'd feel slight force on the right side of your body. You'd turn your head to find Inosuke leaning against you. You were sure he was asleep due to the fact he'd never do this while awake.

Stopping your humming to not disturb him, you'd gently move him to the side to stand up, the dirt as leaves fall off of your clothing.

Inosuke's head darted up. "HEY!" He'd get your attention. You slightly jumped, off guard. "Why did you stop?" Inosuke questioned with a slight head tilt.

"Oh..!" You'd blink at Inosuke, as your head could comprehend what to say, but your mouth didn't. Eventually, you'd speak. "I thought you were asleep. Sorry." You'd let a small chuckle escape under your breath.

There was a slight moment of silence between you two before Inosuke opened his mouth. "Well, do that thing again! That's an order!" Inosuke huffed, crossing his arms.

Inosuke's head turned towards you as he'd step closer towards you. Though, you couldn't see his face, he'd show eagerness. "Hmm..." You'd eye Inosuke's boar mask. "Take off your boar mask so you can hear better." You'd tell Inosuke. He was a bit hesitant, but eventually did as was told.

You'd stare at his feminine-like face for awhile, having to get used to it. You'd form a smile on your face, along with a faint blush of pink. My goodness, he's gorgeous...

Inosuke looked at you like you had some sort of rabies, disgusted and confused. "What?" Inosuke tilted his head to the side. You'd shake your head with a smile, calming down before doing as told by Inosuke. Inosuke sat down beside you, shaking his body like an overexcited puppy.

"Okay, calm down first." You'd try to catch your giggle as Inosuke took a deep breath, maintaining eye contact with you, a big grin on his face.

You'd sit back down beside Inosuke, continuing your gentle humming. Inosuke hugged his boar mask with a tight grasp, later becoming looser as he grew more sleepy. Inosuke didn't fall asleep, but definitely became more comfortable around you than normal.

"Inosuke." You'd softly say his name, stroking his short black and blue strands of hair. He'd slowly lift up his heavy head, blinking at you. "Want to know what real gesture is like..?" You'd ask, Inosuke tilting his head with a slow nod.

A big smile appeared on your face as you pulled Inosuke towards your face, giving him a small quick kiss on the lips, along with a tight hug. Inosuke's eyes widen the second you did your quick action. He'd stare at you for awhile before hitting your head with force.

"Ow! I'm sorry.." You'd quick apologize, touching your head in slight pain. "D..don't do that again." Inosuke muttered, a visible blush forming on his face as you copied. Inosuke enjoyed this bond between both of you. It was just very difficult for Inosuke to actually tell the truth.

You'd clear your throat, taking a breath before humming again. Inosuke pulled you in closer, looking away from your face. He'd cling to the side of your right side, cuddling against your clothes with a faint smile on his face, slightly hidden.

Eventually, Inosuke fell peaceful asleep as you dozed off along with him, leaving your humming for another day.

I like to think of Inosuke as an oversized toddler, or a wild puppy.
Either way, I absolutely love him.
