Uzui Tengen | Fourth Wife?

He loves me, he doesn't love me, he loves me, he doesn't love me...
You keep repeating yourself in your mind, plucking off white petals of a flower.

"Hey, you alright?" Tengen asked, raising a brow.

"Oh! Uhm, yeah." You immediately look up at Tengen, wiping the petals you broke off away.

"Why are you plucking off petals for?" Tengen awkwardly smiled at you then the flower.

"Well, I keep plucking the petals and saying a certain word like; He or She likes me, and then you pull another petal and say; He or She doesn't like me. Y'know?"

"The way you said it, sounded complicated" Tengen shook his head as small laughs escaped from his mouth.

You continue to pluck the petals off the flower, eating the food Tengen made for this picnic.

"So, what about your wives? Won't they notice me?" You look up quickly at Tengen as soon as you start talking.

"Oh yeah." Tengen sat up, criss-crossing his legs. "They're fine. I mean, this is only for today." Tengen shrugged, a smile appearing on his face.

"Oh, yeah." You nodded, as your heart wavered. You immediately pluck the remaining petals from the flower.

When you ran out, you set down the petal-less flower.

"What did it land on?" Tengen asked, moving the petals away from both of you.

"It's a secret." You get up, bumping Tengen's arm as the petals flew away in the calm breeze.

You pick up the flower. "This was nice, and a very pretty scenery. Thank you, but I must be leaving now." You tap one of his dangling rocks attached to his headband.

"Oh- uh.." Tengen turned around. "You're welcome!" Tengen quickly said before you left.

You walk far away where no one was in sight, you drop the flower, rubbing your face as you tried not to make your emotions get the best of you.

"I guess he loves me..."

"...Not."
