The Lost Jauregui

Chapter 4

A/N I changed Maddie's age to 5 instead of 13, it fits the story better.

I just stared at her. She wasn't facing me so she didn't know I was awake yet. I didn't have to see her face, I don't have to, I would recognize her anywhere.

Why is Lauren Jauregui in my room?

She started to turn around so I closed my eyes, I don't want her to know I'm awake. I'm trying to slow my breathing down but my heart's racing.

Lauren fucking Jauregui is standing 6 feet away from me.

I can feel it thumping in my chest, I'm praying that she can't hear it.

She slightly chuckled then walked out of the room, I immediately opened my eyes and sat up. Why is she here? Are the other girls here too? Oh my god I'm gonna pass out. Lauren Jauregui was just in the same room as me. I have to tell Maddie about this.

"Maddie wake up!" I whisper shouted at her while shaking her shoulders.

"What?" she responded, half asleep.

"Lauren Jauregui was just in here"

"Is that the girl from the girl group you like?"

"YES" I shouted, louder than I intended. I'm still in shock.

"Wait why was she in here? And are you sure it was her and not someone that just looked like her?"

"I don't know, and yes I'm 100% sure that it was her."

Wait didn't Coach Paige say last night that my parents names were Clara and Michael Jauregui? I didn't even think about that last night! The "Jauregui" part of their names didn't even cross my mind, I guess I was too focused on the "my parents are apart of a sex trade organization" part to notice.

"Maddie..."

"What" she grumbled, trying to go back to sleep.

"I think.. I think that Lauren might be my sister.." I said in an awed tone.

"What?" she said as she shot up.

"Last night, they said that my parents names were Michael and Clara Jauregui, those are her parents names."

"Thats.. Thats great Sky, I'm so happy for you." She said with an obviously fake smile.

"Hey what's wrong?" I asked

"It's just, they don't know who my family is. They said it could take months to find them and that I'm gonna have to stay here until they do.."

"Maddie there is no way that I'm letting you stay here for months on your own. I'll see if you can come live with me until they find your family."

"Really?" she said, hope filling her big brown eyes.

"Really. Now com here" I said with my arms outstretched, waiting to engulf her in a hug

She sprang in my arms and I just held her. I could stay like this forever. Wait.. Lauren Jauregui is downstairs. Lauren fucking Jauregui is downstairs.

"Hey I'm gonna go down stairs and see what's going on, you stay up here okay baby girl?"

"yeah" she yawned back, laying down to presumably fall back asleep.

I pulled the covers off of me and climbed over Maddie, and made my way to the hallway. I Looked back at her sleeping peacefully again. She looks so adorable and innocent, I wish she could stay like that forever.

I turned around and walked out of the room, closing the door in the process. From what I remember last night the living room is right next to the front door, and that's probably where everyone is. Now I just gotta remember how to get there. I started walking down the long hallway until I reached the staircase, was this hallway really that long? I thought it was shorter than that.

I walked down the stairs and sure enough there was the living room right by the front door. I silently tip toed closer to the living room, trying to hear what whoever is in there was saying.

"Was she asleep?" that was Coach Paige.

"Well she was when I first walked in but I think she woke up a little after that, her breathing got really ragged and when I turned to face her I saw her eyes snap shut." That was definitely Lauren.

"I hope she comes down soon, I can't wait to actually talk to her." That was Taylor I think?

I'm so nervous. What if they don't like me? What if they see how fat I am and send me to an orphanage? Oh my god would they actually do that? holy shit holy shit holy shit holy sh..

"You just gonna stand there all day Sky?" Coach Paige yelled. I slowly peeked my head around the corner to be met with 6 pairs of eyes staring back at me.

There was Michael and Clara sitting on the couch in the corner. Lauren and Chris sitting on the couch opposite of the one Michael and Clara were on, and Taylor and Coach Paige, sitting on both the recliners. They're all just staring at me. Every instinct in my body is screaming at me to run back to Maddie and hide in there but it's like I'm frozen, I can't move.

Suddenly Clara stood up and started walking towards me. I just stood there petrified, staring at the ground. She stopped in front of me, staring at me. Taking in every little detail, almost studying me. She placed her hand on my chin and tilted it up, making me look her in the eye.

Less than half a second later she was latched onto me, sobbing. She kept saying "My baby" over and over again. About 30 seconds later someone else joined the hug, whoever it is is way larger than Clara and I. It's probably Michael.

Shortly after, they pulled apart. "Come, sit." Clara gestured towards the only empty seat in the room, of course It's right between Lauren and Chris.

I gave her a small smile and did as she said. I sat right next to my fucking idol.

Hey guys! Sorry this is so short and crappy, but it's been like 2 weeks since I posted? And I needed to post something. I promise there will be very few chapters that are this short but In my defense it is 1:30 am right now and I'm exhausted because I've been doing yard work all day. Thank you all you 236 lovely beings that have read this so far. You're all great and special human beings that deserve to be loved.
