Richard had watched me being stupidly stucked in the middle of the chaos. I was like a trouble magnet, attracting everything I was not supposed to.

I looked at him with embarrassment, he was also wearing a similar outfit, probably Divesh insects had stolen that for him too, tapping his foot on the ground, arms crossed and glaring at me.

The man who saved my life, whistled and soon a black horse arrived at his service. When he mounted on the horse his cloak wove in the air revealing the embroidery on its lower edges. He wasnot like the other men in the street. By his look and his outfit he seemed to be from the royal family.

He gave me a final glance and without further interactions he left. I looked around and there were some people noticing me out but luckily they were just few because most of the lookers' attention was stolen by the giant elephant and the men trying to control it.

Richard began to walk back towards the portal and I followed him without getting his order to. Air in the portal filled with silence. It was like the silence before the storm and I was wondering how potent the storm will be.

Charles and Divesh kept looking at Richard awkwardly.
"Where is the meteor?" Richard asked, surprisingly his voice wasn't as rageous as expected.
Charles pointed on a purple spot in his digital map, "here this purple pointer, it's inside the palace. It's radiations were too potent for my scanners. I couldn't scan the inside of the palace but the pointer will take us directly to the meteor"

Divesh sighed in assurance and said,"I will manage something for us to eat before the dawn" and took his insect controller in his hand.

"I think you should send your insects into the palace" Richard suggested more like ordered.
"But Richard, if my scanners weren't able to go through the radiations. I don't think these insects will survive" Charles took side of the insects as if they were alive creatures.

Divesh rose his eyebrows and said,"how about trying?"and smirked.

He put trackers in his flies.
"I know it's a suicide mission. I am so sorry. I know I'm a cruel master. But I trust you. I'm sure you will get through this. Don't look back at me, I will break down into tears." Divesh kept motivating his flies like a parent sending his kids to a battle field and sent them with wiping off a fake tear from his cheek, and a fake sob.

"Ugghh that was totally over acting man!", Charles disgusted. And they both laughed.

Divesh was tracing his flies from the cameras on the flies through his screen and directing them from the map. They were four in number and too realistic. It only took seven minutes to reach the palace. He flew them via the sky route safely into the vast patio of the palace that we had already seen in future, but in a much better condition. As the flies progressed towards the meteor their connection started to break.

"No no no no!!! Shit!" Divesh exclaimed as he tried to take them out but failed.
"I lost them!"

"What now?" Charles asked Richard.
"My turn" he replied.
Richard wore a watch which had the map installed and a tracker. He was traced black. The portal was traced blue. He took an ancient time side pouch bag and put a small black box in it along with some necessary tools.

"I don't think it's safe Richard. My insects had a wide range of rays reflecting abilities"
Richard stretched his arm around Divesh's shoulder who was still mourning at loosing his flies, and pointed towards the street, "look at all those homo sapiens around. If it is not effecting them as they've lived for I don't know how many years with it. I'm sure I can handle it too"

"Be careful. Don't get caught already", I spoke out of concern, I didn't even know existed in me.
Richard smiled at me and nodded. I still couldn't believe he was not angry at me.

He walked towards the palace. He was much slower as compared to the insects. He kept informing about his every move and the situation. Divesh sent his two flies with him to keep an eye on his surroundings and alerting him from any danger. He also sent few bees to bring food for us.

The memory of light brown eyes of the man in the cloak took me away from the reality. His strong grip over me and his quick moves. I almost considered myself dead at the moment, but I guess fate had planned more for me.
Somehow, Richard was right about me belonging to the era. At first the meteor didn't kill me for touching it. Then a merciful man saved me from smashing under an elephant's feet. The way he stared at me and then gradually sunk into the ocean of my eyes felt like we had a connection from thousands of years.
I didn't even realize I was smiling at the thought of him. Just as I noticed my lips edges stretched into a smile, I quickly got back into reality and looked at the others. Luckily they were busy with navigating Richard and didn't see me daydreaming.

"It's getting late Richard, come back we'll find another way. You're just wasting time. It's not safe standing there" Charles spoke while I didn't even know where he was standing and it was late too!!

"Yeah you're right. I'm heading back"

Soon he came back along with the flies and a disappointed face.

"It's okay. It was our first day I'm sure tomorrow will bring something better for us. We collected alot of information. Consider it a win for the day", I couldn't believe I was motivating him although I didn't even know why he couldn't get the meteor. The past air was melting the cold hard Tarika into a humble psychiatrist. The concerns out of nowhere irritated me.

He nodded at me and replied,"you're right that's why I have decided that you are going to find a way into the palace. I am sure you can"

I got shocked and I continued moving my head in no, "I can't"
"You can I know. The way you handled that man was incredible and I think Sandra did have a solid reason to replace herself with you. And we need a psychiatrist to interact with them and find how to get into the palace" as he spoke, his tone slowly changed into a commanding one. He didn't like hearing no.
I got to know why wasn't he angry at me.
