"Mayi?"
.....
I interrogated in wonder *since when have strangers started visiting me*.
I demanded dark for apparent features and he enlisted as,
"gender:Female,
age: about 55,
height: 5'6 approximately,
Eye color: hazel
Wear: br..."
"Okay. Tell her I am coming in a moment." I halted dark as I understood its the old lady I met in the library.
My crazy head!_ how could I forgot asking her name!?
I quickly washed my face, applied a sun block and moisturizer on it, wore a dark green color, soft shawl over the dress I was already wearing and probably don't remember what kind of dress.
I was just about to leave when my eyes caught the knife on my bedside table.
*What if she tried to rap me or kidnap me?*
A dark thought traveled in my nerves, I grabbed the knife and put it in my bag for safety.
I stepped out of my apartment and saw the old lady looking at birds through our hallway window, deeply lost in thoughts.
Wearing brown long coat with belt tightened and black boots.
I greeted her, "Good afternoon.... um .. Mayi!"
I brought her from fantasy world back to real world.
She looked at me and I saw her hazel eyes that I didn't notice before dark mentioning.
She passed me a smile,"Hi!...... You know after telling your AI my name I realized I never told you what my name really was!" She explained herself in one go and then giggled at herself.
I chuckled in reassurance *it was not just me who was dumb and blank minded*
"I talked to them and they agreed to meet you. I have brought my car, let's go I'll take you there." She signaled by slightly tilting her head.
I was extremely excited yet confused and uncertain with my decision, but as compelled by my cold personality I only said, "cool" in a plain voice with all the emotions left unexpressed.
I followed her towards the lift and down the parking lot to her car.
It was a blue car, four wheels *yeah ofcourse cars have four wheels* and I cannot describe it more because I am not a car fan. Neither I know what's special about a specific car nor I notice. I just don't get the idea of changing the shape of the backlights of a four wheeled vehicle, created for transport purposes and distinguishing it from the other members of its kind. It's a type of racism, I am not in for!
Anyhow, I sat in her car beside her in the front seat. Awkward silence filled the surroundings.
And like always someone else has to break the silence, Mayi spoke humbly, "We haven't introduced ourselves to each other properly.... my name is Mayi that you already know now. Actually it's not my birth name. I didn't like my birth name which was Sarah, a notorious business woman of that time."
I looked into the side mirror and quizzed, "Does it matter?" And gave her a brief glance waiting for her response.
She answered while her gaze on the road, "ofcourse not! It was a decision I made when I was in high school."
I was judging her already for how dumb decision she took and why didnt she fix it after realizing it was stupid!
After a pause she continued, "Everyday brings another you, a better you, or even sometimes a worse you, your preferences are always in a continuous revolution.
People often feel cringe at embarrassing acts of themselves in the past but trust me after living my life for 57 years, I have realized it is the beauty of growing up.
Do whatever matters the most right now. Just don't wait for the right time or the time you think you will get more mature and handle things better.
In the end you only regret not utilizing the time you had."
By the time she was ending, a bright smile had already appeared on my face out of somewhere I didn't even know exist in me. Her words went through my ears blissing my dark soul.
I found myself even more dumb for judging her not to fix her dumb decision by taking a more dumb one which could be the worst of all. People always have reasons.
I didn't know I could get softer towards someone.
I chatted with her in flow till we reached our destination.
"Here we are" She stopped her car at an old abandoned building whose gateway was open and crows on the floor feeding on something.
I couldn't help the qualms I had entering a haunted place like that. It was just the place where all the murders, raps, kidnapping, drug deals and other crimes would occur.
I walked after Mayi.
"Hello everyone! It's Mayi. I have brought a guest, come out!" Mayi announced in loud voice with happiness that echoed through the low illuminated dark hall.
I was still confused about what I was doing. For a fraction of moment I even felt as if she was making a fool of me.

Soon a figure appeared through the darkness, "greetings Mayi", she received her kind answer from a masculine voice.
A strenous joy covered Mayi's face putting a huge grin on it.
While my eyes still on the person walking towards us and revealing himself from the dark.
