They were only two months old when Charlie got adopted by a lovely couple who would not take the both of them. As soon as they saw her they fell in love. The wife was called Fay and the husband was Jim. Fay said that they wanted to adopt Charlie but sadly could not take Annabelle as well. Charlie was quiet and always happy. Annabelle was loud and never really happy unless fed or cuddled. Jim had told Mrs Dunton that they would keep them apart and never tell Charlie that she was a twin. Mrs Dunton agreed to do the same with Annabelle. She re painted the walls and put a single bed in.
Charlie was taken from the orphanage and out of London. The family who adopted her lived in America and had come to the UK on holiday. They had wanted to adopt for a while but there was no child for them in the orphanages where they lived. They told Mrs Dunton that they lived outside of the country and she told them they needed to get her a passport but other than that it was ok and would also help on keeping the twins apart. When she had gone Mrs Dunton told everyone else at the orphanage about not telling Annabelle about Charlie.
