"You should be ashamed of yourself, Mrs. Paige. Just because I'm not rich doesn't mean I can't be with Liam".
"Isn't it obvious?".
"Really? What about your husband? You were wealthy and yet he cheated on you with my poor Mum. How about that?".
She frowned immediately. "This is about you and my son so I don't think there is a need to remind me of what your mother did to my family".
"You made me say that".
"I want you to understand me, Williams is my only child. And the last thing I want is for him to end up with someone who will add nothing to what he has toiled for".
I crossed my arms. "Sorry, ma'am but you need to stop. I get it, I'm not as wealthy as Liam is so why do you keep bringing it up all the time?".
"That's because I want him to see him with a woman who will improve his riches, who will love and care for him and his daughter without faking affection just for wealth".
I closed my eyes for a few seconds trying to remain so I wouldn't say anything very rude to her. After all, she's Liam's mother.
"Ma'am. I love Liam and I love Lili too, I take her as my own daughter so I don't need to worry about fake affection".
"Brianna Hills". She said coldly. "Stay away from my son. I love Williams so much, it will hurt to see him with a gold digger".
I scoffed. "I'm not a gold digger. Why don't you tell Trisha that? She's the one who ran away with your Son's money, not me".
"Trisha will be dealt with for doing that". She said, making me confused.
"Huh? I thought you wanted her for your son".
"No, I only wanted her in the mansion so you could leave. Even if Trisha is the last lady on the earth, I will never let her marry my son again".
"Why are you making decisions for Liam? He is old enough to do that himself, not you all the time".
"Like I said, name any amount you want, I'll give you double of that".
"I don't need your money". I retorted. "And I certainly won't condone you speaking to me that way".
I walked out on her and back in the living room walking past them heading straight for the kitchen.
And then I bursted into tears as I walked in resting on the kitchen counter crying my heart out.
Why can't I always be happy? Liam is the first guy that treats me well out of all my ex boyfriends and now his Mother thinks I'm a gold digging bitch.
"Brie". Chloe walked into the kitchen.
I look at her sniffing. "Hey".
"What the heck? Why are you crying when Liam is waiting in the living room for you".
"You should have heard what his Mother said to me". I told her tearfully. "She went ahead to call me a gold digger. I don't love Liam for his money, Chloe".
"Well I guess his mother knows that now".
"She offered me money". I continued. "She thinks that I'm faking my love towards Lili".
"Is that why you are so upset?".
"Yes, Chloe". I said exasperated. "Why are you not supporting me this time? I thought you'll go speak to Liam's Mom when I told you what she did".
Chloe smiled a little. "I know this is crazy but after Liam told me. I so much loved the whole idea".
"What are you talking about?". I asked her, totally confused.
"Well when Lucas called Liam and told him that Lili is here ... ".
"Yeah, go on".
"Liam wanted to show his Mum that your love for him and Lilian is so genuine. That's why he made a deal with his mother".
I arched my eyebrows. "A deal?".
"Yeah. Apparently, if you were to accept the money that Liam's mother gives to you then Liam said he would forget about you".
"What?".
"And if you don't accept the check then Mrs. Paige will have to forget about all this and go back to her own place".
"Huh!". I shrieked confused.
"Oh My Gosh!! Brie, you just proved that old woman wrong. I couldn't be more proud of you".
"Why didn't you tell me about all this, Chloe?".
"I only just heard it from Liam minutes ago when you and his Mum went to talk".
"And then again, I say, what?".
"Brianna".
I turned away from Chloe to see Liam walk into the kitchen. Chloe winks at me before leaving us alone together.
I fiddle with my fingers. "Hey Liam".
"I'm sorry". He says all of a sudden. "You need to come back home, please".
"Why? Do you need me to come back home because of Lili or do you need me to come back home because you want me?".
"Both, Brianna". He sighed softly. "I should have stopped my Mum from saying all that to you at the Christmas Lunch, I'm sorry".
"And?". I asked expecting more.
"And I love you so much". He moves closer to me. "I love you and Jayden or Jana so much".
I smile back tears. "I love you too, Liam".
"And I'll appreciate it if you come back home with me. You don't need to worry about my Mother, she's leaving now".
"Is it because of the deal?".
"I had to do that, Brianna. I had to show my Mum how much you love Lilian and I".
"I love you both so much but your mother doesn't have to leave. She was just looking out for her son".
He looked at me stunned. "What?".
"It will be wrong if your Mum leaves you and her granddaughter just because of me, Liam".
"Gosh!! Anna, you are so warmhearted, after all my Mum did to you, calling you names, yet you still want her to stay?". He asked me surprised.
I shrugged slightly. "I don't want to deprive her of you and Lilian".
"My Mum isn't staying with us". He replied to me coldly. "She has done enough to you this Christmas and I won't have her stay any longer".
"But Liam ... ". I tried to argue.
"She left already, Brianna. When you had refused her offer, she offered an apology and then walked out the door".
I held his hands. "I don't want you and your Mum to have issues because of me".
"Oh we won't. She's allowed to come back to my house after you and I get married so we can be rest assured she's not against us anymore".
I chuckled lightly. "Oh God! Liam".
"You are still wearing the engagement ring, remember? Soon, it will be a wedding ring".
"Yeah but let's get married after I give birth to Jana. We don't want her kicking inside of me during the rites' '.
He squeezed my palm softly. "Anything for you, Brianna Paige".
My lips curved into a smile hearing that and he pulled me closer for a snuggling kiss.
"Okay, okay. I think that's enough". Chloe spoke up, making us pull away.
I glance at her. "Were you here all this while we talked?".
"What? No". She laughed lightly. "Anything for you, Brianna Paige".
I bursted into laughter as she mimicked Liam. Oh Darn! Chloe did eavesdrop on us.
"So let's go?". Liam asked me hopefully.
I smiled at him. "Sure. Let's go".
He held my hand as we walked back into the living room. Almost immediately, Lilian rushed towards me as she hugged me.
Okay, this is the definition of a perfect family. It's just Liam, Lilian, Jana and I.
My smile faded as I remembered that we'll be going home back to that bitch, Trisha.
"Liam". I whispered. "What about Trisha?".
He kissed my forehead. "She will be out of our lives before you know it".

I close the door just as Liam and Brianna walk out my porch with Lili. The guards also followed them as well.
I turn back to see Chloe. "Hey Babe".
"Why are you still here?".
"I said we'll spend the Christmas week together". I slid my hands around her waist. "Remember that?".
She pulled away. "Lucas. I need to cook".
"I love you so much".
She pecked my lips lightly and headed back to the kitchen. I smile following her.
"Chloe?".
"Hmm".
She hummed in response as she brought out stuff from the refrigerator. Everything about her is endearing to me.
"What if I ask you to marry me? Like right now? Right here? Will you!".
I just need to know the answer before I then make my next move. I need to know if she'll say No like Miranda.
She paused and looked at me. "I'll say No".
"What?".
"Lucas, you are such a jerk. How can you ask me to marry you here?".
I became confused. "What?".
"You couldn't even go on your knees". She frowned facing me. "And I see no ring, and no flowers or candlelights at all". She huffed angrily and walked past me pushing aside.
Okay, now I've the definition of crazy. How did I fall in love with a psycho?
