Stay strong, I tell myself
Like a silent prayer to my body
I don't need it, the nausea will fade
Oh but the sense of longing won'tThe excess water in my mouth reminds me
I must make the choice
Resist the urge
Put my phone back down, walk awayFocus on what is in front of you, I repeat
Who is around you, who choose to be there
For you
Why do I feel so aloneI have friends that want to see me
But I ignore their texts and calls
My phone is a rabbit hole I try to avoid
Somehow that turns into people tooI feel weak
The weight of my body won't let me stand
I take my showers sitting in the bathtub
Dimly lit by early morning sunThe invisible band around my temple
Is the most unwanted company
That holds me tightly
Will I miss this too?- Glaucous
