"Manik aayega temple?" her Amma asked
"Pata nahi... Puchti hu ma..."
"Gajar halwa bana hai?" Manik asked entering the kitchen and both Nandini and her Amma turned to him
Before Nandini's Amma could say anything Nandini said "Nahi toh. Humare ghar mein kisi ko bhi gajar halwa nahi pasand" Manik nodded making a pout. He went to Nandini's Amma and touched her feet
"Happy Akashaytritya Amma" he said but made a thinking face "Aise hi wish karte hai na?" he asked and looked at Nandini who was going to say something but her Amma beat her
"Dil se wish Kiya hai toh bas hai" Naina said and Nandini made a bad face "Vaise Manik we are going to temple tum chaloge humare saath?" her Amma asked
"Haan Haan" Manik said and Nandini turned. Her Amma turned to her and frowned "Kanna you didn't wear your haar?" he mother asked and Nandini froze
"Haan woh Amma I have it na. I'll wear" Nandini said quickly and her Amma left nodding
Manik observed her. Nandini turned to him and said "Go sit outside I'll come" she said and left
Manik and Rishab were talking when Amma called them for breakfast. They saw Appa already waiting on the dining table. Manik and Rishab took seats when Nandini came in wearing a small gold necklace.
They were having breakfast when Manik said "Nandini your engagement wala, flower flower design wala necklace that would have suited more on this saree, nahi Amma?" Naina nodded and all looked at Nandini
"Woh... Woh I kept that in locker. I mean bank locker" Nandini said
"Haan toh on the way to temple, nikal lo na" Rishab said. Nandini just nodded.
Nandini walked with a bag to her car. Manik frowned
"Yeh kya hai?" he asked
"Prasad hai, mandir mein dena hai" she said and unlocked her car. She was going to sit when Manik said "Nandini let Rishu drive. I'll take you to the bank"
"Why?" Nandini asked
"Arey you were going to get you necklace from the locker na" Manik said and Nandini saw her parents coming there with Rishab
"Haan haan" she said not having any option
"He is saying right Kanna go get yoir necklace mandir ke baad we have to go..."
"Haan haan Amma I'll go with him. Yeh aap rakh do na car mein" Nandini said giving her mother the bag taking out one box. Manik saw her whisper something to her Amma and then come to him
"Challo" she said and he nodded
They sat in the car drove off behind Nandini's car that Rishab was driving.
Manik parked the car. "Tum ek kaam karo. Wait here. I'll get it" Nandini said
"Why I'll come na" he said
"No no. I'll manage" Nandini said "It will take some time" she added unknowingly
"Why? You just have to get it from the locker right? Why will it be time consuming?" he asked her acting dumb
"Uhhh... Ya I was thinking to get all my jewellery. And empty the locker. Tumhare closeteim hai na woh bada wala safe. I'll keep it there" she said getting an excuse
"Oh then you'll need hand na. I'll..."
"Manik just wait here" Nandini cut him and left in hurry. Manik saw her enter and then called someone
