Here I am again.

At night.

Somewhere other than my bed.

I'm starting to think I need to have supernatural office hours or some shit because all this running around at close to midnight is getting old.

Stiles and I are with Derek outside of the Sheriff's station, trying to come up with a plan to get in and keep a hunter from killing Isaac.

"Ok." Stiles begins, "Now, the keys to every cell are in a password-protected lockbox in my father's office. The problem is getting past the front desk."

I could probably easily get past the front desk considering everyone at the station loves me, but I won't deprive the boys of hatching their little plan.

"I'll distract her," Derek says and starts to get out.

Stiles grabs his shoulder to stop him from leaving, "Woah, woah, woah! You? You're not going in there!" Derek glances angrily between Stiles and the hand on his jacket, making the boy remove it, "I'm taking my hand off."

"I was exonerated." The werewolf tells us.

"You're still a person of interest!"

"An innocent person."

"An—" Stiles gasps appallingly, "You? Yeah, right!" he laughs and nods.

Derek only shrugs.

"Ok, fine. What's your plan?"

"To distract her."

"Yeah, we got that part." I quip, "But HOW?"

"By punching her in the face?" Stiles suggests, before making a weird little expression, "Ungh."

"Heh. By talking to her." Derek sarcastically responds.

"Oooooohhhh is Derek gonna be all flirtyyyyy?" I teasingly poke the Alpha's shoulder, "This should be fun to watch."

Stiles huffs and returns the attention to Derek's plan, "Ok. Alright. Give me a sample. What are you gonna open with?"

After a few seconds of silence, the older man looks back at me with a 'Is this kid serious?' look on his face.

"Dead silence. That should work beautifully. Any other ideas."

"I'm thinking about punching you in the face..."

The thought of Derek punching Stiles floods my brain, and something inside of me snaps. Almost like a flame was lit, and I swear I feel a burning sensation momentarily in my eyes before everything goes fuzzy and I start lashing out.

"So, we're seriously sitting here about to help YOU save YOUR beta's uncontrollable ass, and the minute we want to know the details of your plan, you threaten to punch Stiles in the face? I don't see how that's right. In fact—"

"Lizzy. Calm down, it's ok, he didn't mean it." Stiles tries to grab my arm, but they're too busy flailing around for him to catch.

"IT'S NOT OK! EVERY TIME SOMETHING REMOTELY INCONVENIENT HAPPENS, HIS FIRST THOUGHT IS TO INJURE YOU IN SOME WAY, AND IT'S REALLY STARTING TO PISS ME OFF!"

After a few seconds, everything comes back into focus.

Woah.

What the hell was that?

I have no clue what came over me.

I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths to try and calm myself down. When my eyes reopen, I see both men staring at me in utter shock.
