Not even seconds later, I heard a loud SNAP. The second horse had stomped on her leg, and that snap was the sound of it breaking in two.

All that could be heard were the sounds of Maddie screaming, I grabbed her shoulders and dragged here away from the horses as quickly and gently as I could. Everyone came rushing to us to see what was wrong.

Someone called an ambulance and she was rushed to the hospital

*flash back over*

She was in the hospital for months and almost died. She was kicked barely below the heart and the doctors said that if she had been kicked an inch higher that she would've been killed instantly, and ever since then she's been terrified of horses.

Once someone asked me how my lessons were going in front of her and all it took was the mention of a horse and it triggered a panic attack.

I can't explain the needle thing, she's just really scared of needles.

I mouthed "you're scaring her" at the men and they got the hint to leave us alone. They shut the door behind them as they left and Maddie had calmed down a little.

"Shh, they're gone now baby girl, It's okay."

Her sobs were now quiet sniffles, I never realized what room we were in until now. We were in a huge bedroom, with white fluffy carpet, a king sized canopy bed was in the corner with black silk sheets, there was a huge flat screen TV mounted on the wall, and tons of other black furniture used to decorate the room. It's probably the nicest bedroom I've ever seen in my life.

"Come on, let's go lie down." I lead her towards the bed in the corner of the room and realized as we reached it that the mad holding the stuffed horse had conveniently decided to leave it lying on the bed. Maddie seemed to notice it too because she started sobbing again, clutching onto my shirt.

I tried to calm her down again, but all of a sudden she started gasping for air.

"SKY *gasp* I CAN'T *gasp* I CAN'T *gasp* BREATHE" Damn it, she's having a panic attack.

"Maddie I need you to look at me"

She kept her grip on my shirt and wouldn't look up.

"hun you need to look at me" she she slowly lifted her head this time, staring me in the eyes. The look of complete desperation and fear in her eyes made my heart drop.

"We're gonna sit down now okay? We're gonna sit up against the wall, shh it's okay baby" I slowly slid us down the wall, her clinging onto me like her life depended on it. She was still breathing really hard. I'm scared that she's gonna hyperventilate and pass out.

Her eyes kept darting up at the bed, where the stuffed horse was still sitting.

"Babe look at me okay? Don't take your eyes off of me, Come on deep breaths now. Thats it, in through your nose and out your mouth. Thats it, you're gonna be okay baby girl."

After about 15 minuets of me repeating things like that to her and talking about other things to keep her mind distracted, her breathing had returned to normal and she was half asleep on my chest. Now that I think about It I'm pretty tired too, It's probably about midnight by now, we didn't get back at the school until 10pm and it's been at least a hour and a half since then.

I looked down and Maddie was fast asleep. I slowly got up, trying to be as gentle as I could so I wouldn't wake her up and stood by the bed. I grabbed the horse and walked over to the window, opening it as quietly as I could and chucked it out. I walked over to Maddie and picked her up and placed her on the bed under the covers. Luckily I had changed out of my uniform on the bus before we got back to the school or else I'd be sleeping in that right now. I was wearing a pair of sweats and an old T-shirt and I put all my bracelets back on.

I walked to the other side of the room and turned the light off, feeling my way around back to the bed.

"Why is this room so fucking big" I muttered to myself, as I finally reached the bed. I crawled over Maddie to the other side of the bed and got under the overs and wrapped my arms securely around her.

It only just occurred to me that they were actually trying to give Maddie a shot. Why were they giving her a shot? I can't think of a possible reason as to why she would need a shot. They probably tried to give her the horse as something to hold in case she was scared of the needle.

After several minuets of me thinking of different ways that I could kill those men for scaring Maddie like that, I finally drifted off, only to be woken by the next morning by last person I'd ever expect to see standing in front of me...
