Y/n's Pov

I was swimming through the waters, getting closer to the rock. I climbed up on it only to see Neteyam's body once again. But this time Lo'ak was next to him, bullet wounds throughout his entire chest. I fell to my knees with a loud cry, crawling over to the two. Both still alive and breathing.

"Y-Y/n" Neteyam stuttered out, grabbing onto my hand. I rubbed his forehead with my hand softly, while breathing heavily. "Neteyam, not again, please" I begged. Lo'ak coughed and I went over to him, grabbing his hand. "Lo'ak, baby please..stay with me"

I looked up and saw Jake standing there. "DO SOMETHING, YOUR KIDS ARE DYING" I yelled, anger and fear filling my body. Jake just stood there a blank expression on his face. I held Lo'ak in my arms, crying harder.

"Y/n, wake up" Lo'ak said while laying on the ground. I pulled away from him, and just stared at his body. "Y/n, babe please wake up" He said once again. I fluttered my eyes open. I was inside the pod, Lo'ak holding me in his arms. I felt tears sting my water line. As they slowly started to fall out, I clung to Lo'ak tightly. Lo'ak was the only one besides Kiri that knew I would have terrible nightmares about what happened to Neteyam.

Every time they would only get worse. "It's happening again" I sniffled. I felt Lo'ak's hand rub small circles on the back of my head. "Shh...I'm right here" He said as he planted a small kiss on my forehead. " Want to go somewhere, do something to take your mind off of it" He asked pulling away to look at my face. Before I got a chance to speak, I felt a hand on my thigh.

I turned and saw Neteyam, with a worried expression on his face. "Y/n...what's wrong are you okay" He asked, quickly sitting up. I gave him a smile but said nothing and put my hand on his cheek. I leaned in closer to him, "I'm so glad you're here". I gave him a kiss. I reached behind me and put my hand on Lo'ak's thigh, rubbing it with my thumb.  Once I pulled away from Neteyam, I turned and gave Lo'ak a kiss.  After  we pulled away, I stood up and walked to the frame of the pod. Seeing the beautiful sun start to rise.

I looked out and saw Ts'irus and Ao'nung and decided to go over to them. "Ao'nung, you can't mention that to any of them, it will ruin everything that has happened, you are finally all friends" Ts'irus said as I got closer. He stopped talking once he noticed me. "Oh! Hey Y/n, what are you doing up" He asked. I ignored Ts'irus and looked at Ao'nung who wouldn't look at me.

He got up and left without saying anything to me. It kind of hurt my feelings, so I decided to go after him, but Ts'irus grabbed my wrist. "Hey, I have to ask you something" he said nervously. "Not right now Ts'irus" I puled away from him, to go after Ao'nung but he was out of sight. I let out a huge sigh and turned back to Ts'irus.

"Really" I huffed out. "What" he asked. "What's going on with Ao'nung" I glared at him. "I have no idea what you are talking about" He stuttered out. I heard footsteps behind me, and saw Jake heading to my pod. "Jake" I called out and he jumped and turned to face Ts'irus and I.

"I was looking for you" He said walking over to us. I lowered my ears slightly, feeling nervous. Jake stood in front of me. "Ts'irus, could you give us a moment" Jake said sternly. Ts'irus put his hand on my shoulder, and trailed it down my arm, reaching my hand and squeezing it. I gave him a look, talking with only our eyes.

Are you going to be okay Ts'irus's eyes spoke loudly.

I'll be fine, go

Ts'irus nodded and walked away slowly. I sighed and looked at Jake. He looked so tired and hurt, it broke my heart. "You look sickly" I said softly, bringing my hand up to his cheek. "I haven't been getting much rest" he said lowering my hand from his face. "Why not" I asked, hoping it wasn't because of me.

"It bugged me how we left things. Ever since we've arrived here, we've been arguing way more than I'd like us to" He sighed out. I took a deep breath, "Jake, ever since we've got here, you've been treating some of us like soldiers, you've been treating your children differently, you've changed a lot, and what you've become is the reason why we are arguing" I said looking into his eyes.

He sighed and nodded his head, "I just-". I put my hand up, "I know what you are going to say and I understand that, but you also need to understand what I'm saying. I don't want to argue, but I refuse to let you treat others badly because of your title". Jake chuckled, "What title...Toruk Makto is dead, I ran instead of fighting, I mean, one of my son's died, I was supposed to protect him and I failed" He said, tears starting to form in his eyes.

I felt terrible. I placed my hand on his shoulder, "You will always be Toruk Makto, the great warrior who led the clans to victory, against the sky people. You did what you thought was best. You didn't run because you were scared, you left because you wanted to protect your family. That is not a sign of weakness. Neteyam dying wasn't your fault, and he's back now"

"Yeah, but what if we couldn't have brought him back. He'd be dead forever, I would have failed" He mumbled out.

"There is no such thing as failure in the Sully family. We stick together, we fight together, we give everything we have to protect family. I understand the feeling of guilt, flooding your mind Jake, but we can not dwell on past things, because we won't be able to focus on the moments we share in present time. You have to accept that it happened and now make sure it never happens again"  I said squeezing his shoulder.

"Can you forgive me" He asked. I smiled, "Of course" I gave him a hug and he hugged me back. "Aye'" Lo'ak said walking over to us along with Neteyam. "Everything alright" Neteyam asked. I nodded my head and their expressions softened. Jake rolled his eyes, "I'm you're father, don't try to stand to me like that" He said looking at Lo'ak and Neteyam.

"They want to protect me, just like you want to protect Neytiri" I chuckled out. Jake nodded his head, "I guess that's fair, but don't let it happen again" He said before he walked off. I looked at the two brothers, "Something is going on with Ao'nung" I said softly. They gave me a confused look. "What do you mean" Look asked.

"I don't know, he was taking to Ts'irus and usually when he sees me he says hi or something stupid, but he wouldn't even look at me". Lo'ak and Neteyam looked at each other, "Do you want to go find him" Neteyam asked. I nodded my head and walked off into the direction that Ao'nung walked in earlier. The Village people started to wake up, getting ready to handle their duties and chores. No sign of Ao'nung.

"Hey forest kids" Rotxo said from behind us. I turned and smiled at him, "Hey Rot, listen have you seen Ao'nung" I asked. Rotxo nodded, "Just got done talking to him, why". He asked."Can you take me to him" I begged. "Sure" he said before turning around. "Do you want us to come" Lo'ak asked. "No you guys go do you chores, I'll be back soon" I said running off after Rotxo.

We came to a tall grove of leaves. "He's in there" Rotxo said. I smiled at him, "Thanks" I walked into the leaves on to hear what sounding like groaning and moaning.

"Y/n...~"
