22. ~I Love You~

'No One's Pov'

Jake decided that it would be best if they left back to the forest in a few days. Y/n was annoyed at that, but she understood, so that they could have time to plan, instead of just going in with no plan. Y/n and the others have been avoiding Spider. Lo'ak and Y/n were sitting on the warm sand talking.

"You definitely laughed at that" Y/n said with a large smile. Lo'ak rolled his eyes while laughing, "It wasn't funny". Lo'ak saying that only made Y/n laugh even harder. Lo'ak couldn't help but laugh at her. Y/n wiped her eyes as she calmed down. The two looked at each other in silence for a second. 

"Lo'ak, I'm worried...about the whole Neteyam quest thing" Y/n said looking down at her folded hands. Lo'ak let out a small sigh, "It won't be easy, but as long as we all have each others backs". Y/n remembered the last time she saw Neteyam alive, remembering what she told him. "I tried to have Neteyam's back, I don't want to be the reason why someone else gets hurt or worse". Y/n felt tears sting at the base of her eyes. Lo'ak put his hand on the side of her face, "Don't ever let me hear you say that again, what happened to Neteyam was not your fault, you weren't even there, there was nothing you could have done".

Y/n fluttered her eyes as she looked into Lo'ak's eyes, "That's the problem I wasn't there". Lo'ak sighed, "Please, don't blame yourself, and think about it like this, we are so close to getting him back". Y/n nodded her head, "I wish we could leave sooner". Lo'ak chuckled, "You know dad has to have an elaborate plan, before we can go anywhere". Y/n laughed, "I will be happy to see the others again though". Lo'ak agreed with her as he smiled. 

"You know what, we haven't seen Payakan since that day, we should go see him" Lo'ak said happily. Y/n smiled as she stood up, "Yes! Let's go". Y/n ran off and Lo'ak followed, the two got onto ilus. Y/n stopped when she heard Tuk call her name, she turned around. 

"Where are you going" Tuk asked. "On a little trip" Y/n said with a smile. "Can I come" Tuk said with a hopeful smile. Y/n nodded her head and helped Tuk get on her ilu. Once they were all set, Y/n followed Lo'ak out to Payakan. Lo'ak called out Payakan's name as he waited for him to show up. Lo'ak started to worry because Payakan wasn't coming. 

"Where is he" Tuk asked. Before Lo'ak could answer Payakan shot out of the water, causing huge waves to spiral through the water. All of the three Na'vi children fell off their ilu. Y/n looked around for Tuk. She noticed her and grabbed her little hand, swimming back to the surface. Tuk took a deep breath as she breached the surface. Y/n looked around for Lo'ak, but didn't see him until, him and Payakan shot out of the water, into the air. Lo'ak did a flip as he fell back into the water with Payakan. Tuk laughed at her brother. Y/n sat there almost admiring how happy Lo'ak was.

She had an idea come into her thoughts and her heart, but was pulled away when Tuk pulled on her arm. "Come on" Lo'ak yelled while smiling at the two. Y/n and Tuk swam to Payakan, climbing up his fin. Tuk laughed as Payakan shot out water. Lo'ak laughed, "That's gross cuz". Y/n laughed as she watched Tuk run around on Payakan. Lo'ak looked at Payakan and signed to him,

'Show them how fast you can go buddy'

Y/n noticed what Lo'ak signed and she quickly grabbed onto Tuk, "No no no, wait-". Payakan took off causing Y/n and Tuk to yell, while Lo'ak laughed and cheered. Lo'ak got down and held onto Payakan's fin, "I'd hold on if I were you". Y/n rushed Tuk over to Payakan's other fin, both of them grabbing on as Payakan dove under the water. Tuk had a huge smile on her face as they all glided through the water, care-free. Y/n enjoyed the felling of the water gliding against her skin. Payakan shot out of the water and into the air. Y/n noticed Lo'ak cheering as he flipped. Tuk let go of Payakan's fin and flipped as well as she laughed. Y/n did the same as she enjoyed the feeling of the wind. The four of them came crashing back into the water. 

Tuk swam over to Lo'ak and laughed with him. He noticed that Y/n and Payakan weren't with them. He looked forward and saw Y/n and Payakan fly out of the water, Y/n flipping as she gracefully dove back into the water. Lo'ak admired her as Tuk laughed. Payakan and Y/n swam back over to Lo'ak and Tuk allowing them to get on Payakan's back. Tuk ran to Y/n laughing, "That was so cool". Y/n laughed as she looked at Lo'ak, "Cooler than your brother huh". Lo'ak walked over to Y/n and Tuk. He pushed Y/n off of Payakan and into the water.

"No one is cooler than me" Lo'ak said with a smile. Y/n swam back to Payakan's fin and climbed up. She walked over to Lo'ak who was laughing. He quickly put out his hands grabbing onto Y/n's wrists. Y/n laughed as she tried to get her wrists free.  "You Skxawng, I'm gonna hurt you". The two were pulled away from that moment when Kiri showed up on an ilu. "How did I know she'd be with you two" Krir mocked. Y/n turned to her and smiled. 

"You two would make great parents" Kiri said with a smirk. Lo'ak and Y/n's eyes widened making Kiri laugh, "Kidding, but mom and dad need Tuk, so I'm taking her with me". Tuk frowned but went with Kiri, Y/n watched as they rode off. Lo'ak took the opportunity to push Y/n back into the water. Y/n climbed back up on Payakan and hissed at Lo'ak playfully. Lo'ak titled his head as he crouched down and hissed back at her. 

The two walked in circles waiting for the other to strike. Y/n reached out for Lo'ak's leg, faking him out as he went to stop her. She jumped at him, knocking him on his back. Y/n stood at Lo'ak's feet as she looked down at him. " Come on, tree hugger" Y/n smirked. Lo'ak scoffed as he jumped back to his feet. He ran at Y/n catching her off guard and tackled her . Y/n laughed as Lo'ak pinned her hands above her head. Lo'ak laughed as he watched Y/n, "What was that, wood eater". Y/n rolled her eyes as she stopped laughing. Lo'ak let her hands go as the two stared at each other. Y/n put her hand on Lo'ak's cheek. 

"I love you" They both said at the same time. 

They both paused before they laughed. Lo'ak leaned down and planted a quick kiss on Y/n's lips. The two enjoyed the rest of the afternoon swimming with Payakan.
