38."That Was So Sick"

(For context, these next few parts will be over the span of one day, Like it will be broken up into hours and stuff, cause It would make sense for them to train through the span of one day, and the next few parts will be longer than my usuals! But anyway enjoy!)

'No One's Pov'

Y/n put Tuk down and walked over to Rotxo and Ao'nung. "Come on, you have much to learn". Neteyam put his bow down next to Spider's and Lo'ak's, before he walked over to Y/n. Kiri walked over to Tuk, taking her hand, "I'm going to take Tuk and Reya to the other tree to teach her" she said smiling. The others nodded and the three of them walked off.

Lo'ak was swinging through the branches of the tree, cheering happily as he did so. Y/n laughed as she went up to the base of the tree. She took a deep breath before she climbed up it, onto the flat surface that resides higher up the tree. Spider climbed up the tree as well, now also looking down at the others. Lo'ak came back down and stood with the other two.

Neteyam looked at Rotxo, "Wanna give it a go" he asked with a smirk. Rotxo hesitated but he grabbed onto the stubs and nubs on the tree. Using his strength to climb up the tree, very slowly. Y/n smiled as she watched him make his way up. She decided to lay down flat on her stomach, letting her arms hang over the side of the tree, stretching one of them out towards Rotxo.

Rotxo was so focused on not falling, that he didn't even notice Y/n's hand. "Rotxo, grab on" she called out to him, causing him to look up. Rotxo put all his trust into Y/n in that moment, when he let go and quickly grabbed her hand. Y/n tightened her grip around Rotxo's hand, interlocking their fingers as best as they could.

"Ready" Y/n asked. He nodded his head and Y/n started to pull him up. He also walked up the tree, by stepping on the nubs, until he was on the smooth and flat surface with the others. Once Rotxo was up, he laughed, making the others smile.

"Y/n! I did it!" He yelled out, throwing his hands in the air. Y/n laughed and stepped in front of him, "You did it! I'm so proud of you!" she cheered. Spider and Lo'ak chuckled, "Good job man" Spider said giving Rotxo a high five. "That was good bro" Lo'ak said also giving Rotxo a high five. 

Neteyam looked at Ao'nung, "Go on, master diver". Ao'nung rolled his eyes and walked to the tree. "Woooo, come on Ao'nung, you can do it! Just like Rotxo did! Maybe not as good as him, but you can still do it" Y/n said while laughing. She got back down on her stomach, ready to pull Ao'nung up. He placed his hands on the nubs just like Rotxo did, slowly going up the tree.

"Don't fall, fish lover" Lo'ak called out to him. Y/n used her other arm to flick Lo'ak's toe, causing him to jump a little. "Stop it" she said while watching Ao'nung. Neteyam grabbed onto the tree as well, quickly climbing it, now being right behind Ao'nung. "You are so slow" Neteyam said loudly.

Ao'nung finally reached Y/n's hand, but he was hesitant. "Y/n you better not let me fall" he said. Y/n rolled her eyes, "What purpose would I have in letting you fall, if we are trying to teach you" she huffed out. Ao'nung took a deep breath before he let go of the tree, grabbing onto Y/n's hand. They interlocked their fingers. 

Y/n started to pull Ao'nung up, as his feet walked up the tree. Once he was up with everyone else, he smiled and looked at Rotxo. "We did it" Rotxo said while giving Ao'nung a high five. Neteyam jumped up onto the flat surface with the others. Y/n turned to the two reef children,"Your climbing speed, is not very fast, but we can work on that, good for your first times though".
