Y/N POV (12 years old)

The streets of Vale stretched before me as I trudged along, the midnight hour casting an eerie silence over the city. Exhausted and famished, I wandered aimlessly, a child with no place to call home. Lost in my thoughts, a voice suddenly pierced the silence.

???: "Ah, an Uchiha child. How intriguing."

Y/N: Startled, I quickly assumed a defensive stance, my hand signs at the ready. "Who are you?" I demanded, trying to discern the stranger emerging from the shadows.

???: "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy," he responded with a hint of sarcasm, observing my plight.

Y/N: Suspicion coursed through me as I countered, "If you're the headmaster, how do you know about the Uchiha? The world was kept in the dark about our clan."

Ozpin: "Indeed, the Uchiha legacy has been concealed from the public eye. However, I assure you, I have my ways of obtaining information. I've come across a child in desperate need, struggling through life."

The anger within me ignited, and I charged at Ozpin with a chidori in hand, determined to strike him down.

Y/N: "So you're here to eliminate me!" I shouted, poised to unleash my attack. But to my surprise, a barrier halted my progress, frustrating my efforts.

???: "Enough games, Ozpin. Get to the point," a blonde woman, Ozpin's assistant, interjected, appearing beside him.

Ozpin: "Apologies for the diversion. Young Uchiha, how would you like to join Beacon Academy when you reach the age of seventeen? Your skills surpass the need for a regular combat school. We believe you would be a valuable addition to our institution."

My anger flared once more. Why would someone involved in the Uchiha massacre want an Uchiha to join their ranks? Suspicion clouded my mind, and I challenged Ozpin's offer.

Y/N: "What's the catch, Ozpin?"

Ozpin: "No catch, I promise. It's simply an opportunity for a talented fighter like yourself to excel within our academy. You have the potential to bring us great recognition."

I remained skeptical, sensing an ulterior motive, but the idea of having food and shelter intrigued me. Perhaps playing along could lead to a chance to bring down Beacon Academy from within.

Y/N: "Fine, I will join your academy, but under one condition: I won't be assigned a teammate."

Ozpin: "Agreed. Our deal is sealed. Glynda, let's depart. We shall see you in five years, Y/N Uchiha." And with that, Ozpin and Glynda vanished into the shadows.

Y/N: Letting out a sigh, I realized I had to endure until the day of my seventeenth birthday.

Y/N POV

At fifteen years old, I found myself working as a hired assassin. Killing became a means of survival for me, regardless of the target's morality. I neither knew nor cared about the consequences, as long as it provided me with the means to sustain myself. It was an odd sight, a child my age engaging in such a dark profession. While other kids attended school, my childhood was far from ordinary, thanks to my wretched family.

Roaming the streets of Vale, I yearned for a drink, indifferent to any establishment's reluctance to serve me. Eventually, I stumbled upon a bar called Junior's. It appeared inviting, so I settled down and placed my order. My age remained undetected, allowing me a temporary respite.

Qrow: "Well, well, look who it is. Long time no see, kid."

Y/N: A smile stretched across my face as I recognized my uncle, Qrow. He had been the only person kind to me, though his busy life as a huntsman limited our interactions.

Qrow: "Your family misses you, kid." My smile faded as I closed my eyes, reopening them to reveal the ominous Sharingan.

Y/N: "Those monsters aren't my family and will never be," I responded, my voice filled with a mix of sorrow and rage.

Qrow: "Woah, woah, calm down. I wasn't suggesting you return to them. I merely mentioned their remorse and desire for a second chance. But let's forget about that for now. How's life been treating you?"

Y/N: "It's never been better since I escaped that hellhole. Ozpin even offered me a spot at Beacon Academy in two years."

Qrow: "That cunning man, Y/N. Whatever you do, be cautious and never fully trust him. Ozpin always finds a way to benefit himself."

Y/N: "You're right, Uncle Qrow. I'll keep that in mind," I replied, taking his warning seriously.

Qrow: "Well, it's nice seeing you again, but I must be going. Drinks are on me tonight. Have a great night, kid. Goodbye." And with those parting words, he left me to contemplate my uncertain path.
