Now with my intention set, I said the proverbial magic words, "Won't you shake a poor, Sinner's hand?"
Suddenly, a bright, yet eerie green glow emanated from my outstretched hand, making my eyes widen before I awkwardly tried to shake my own hand.
After figuring out how to clasp my hands together, I shook my hands twice before the eerie light turned bright enough to blind both me and Roger (whose name I still didn't know).
The green light slowly dulled down, leaving my eyes nearly permanently branded with glowy looking, colored streaks wherever I looked. My pupils had become so small that I looked as if I was about to go into some kind of 'Super Sicko Mode'.
"Well..." I started, "Let's see if this worked - not like I can see though."
With slight hesitation, I placed pressure on my right leg, expecting to feel the usual sharp pain of, well- pain, before a wide smirk took over my face.
I stood up, feeling better than ever with my arms outstretched and my palms facing up.
"I am... A God."
My chin was pointed up while I stared down my nose at the tablet and started laughing maniacally, which made Roger realize that, when I wasn't in horrible pain, I had some psychopathic tendencies.
"I feel great! I'm either going to become God or kill him!"
Roger stands corrected. He's now sure that I'm insane. Especially compared to the older, more socially aware me. Or at least I knew how to suppress those urges much better.
"I don't think you want to try to fight God." Roger sweat-dropped, knowing who was on this island at this very second.
"Why?"
Before Roger had even processed what I had said, the sound of loud gunfire interrupted.
"..."
After taking a moment to understand what I had just heard, I glared down at the tablet and whisper-screeched:
"YOU TOOK ME TO A WARZONE?!?!?!?"
"Do you still want to fight God?" Roger said in a mocking voice.
"DO I LOOK LIKE I HAVE A GUN?!" I retorted, "What do you want ME to do here anyways?! DIE?!"
"I told you before you won't get hurt." Roger said in a deadpan voice, "I also said you're here to save a life that doesn't deserve to die."
I shot my hand up in the air, "Question!"
"Yes! Ask away."
"What do you expect me to do about that?!" I actually yelled that time, not knowing that a big, pink bird had set up his Bird Cage that could very much kill me in less than a second's notice.
Roger sighed, and if I could see him, I would have seen him burying his face into his hands.
"Well kid..." He started, "You've been Chosen by J.B. - you're their Chosen One."
"I'M A KID!" I screamed back, "Did 'J.B.' or whoever they are take into account that I'm a whole nine years old?!"
"Well, if it were MY choice, I would have chosen my son." He stated matter-of-factly.
"I don't wanna be the Chosen One! I wanna be the Left Alone One!" I wailed before another flurry of gunshots cut off the rest of what I wanted to say.
