Then, after what only felt like a few seconds while in reality it was a few minutes, the song came to an end, and Sabo and I stood in the middle of the room with a sunbeam encasing us.

We were both panting lightly as we stood together, and before I could say anything, the unexpected happened.

Sabo gently cupped my face once again, leaning in slightly before hesitating, although the pause was swift enough that I didn't get to say a word.

And before I knew it, our lips had met in a sweet yet passionate kiss.

I was now standing in front of what looked like a... floating tablet? That talks?! In a deep, pirate voice?!

"So let me get this straight," I stated while lining my small hands together by my nose, "You want ME to jump INTO you?"

"Yup."

"And you want me to believe you?"

"Because I-, you know what? Kid, what do you say to saving a life."

I took a deep inhale before stating: "No."

"Great! So all you need to do is- wait, did you just say 'No'?!"

"Yes."

Now it was his turn to question why.

"Why?!" he asked, his tone indicating that he was currently thinking I was a psychopath.

"Why?" I stated, about to do a thing called 'roasting this motherfucker', according to Mipha, "You're already telling me to believe your weird story about a fantasy world where people can't swim after eating this 'devil infested fruit'. And that you can take me there? Then you tell me to 'trust' you."

I turned around, about to walk out of my room to yell to my aunts before I said, "I don't even know who's life I'd be saving! I'm smart enough to know when it sounds like I'm about to get kidnapped."

'Plus, that stitch that asshole kid snapped still needs to heal - Auntie Hazel would kill me if she saw me standing right now.'

The next words out of the tablet's voice made me stop right in my tracks.

"What if I told you you could prank your future self?"

I paused, "... What?"

He repeated himself, flying over to be in front of me.

"I'm still alive in the future?" I asked while cocking my head, glaring into the dark glass, "Now I KNOW you're lying to me."

"For the love of-!" Roger, whose name was still unbeknownst to us, sighed, exasperated, "Listen, help me not throw away a life that deserves to live on. Plus, your future self would love the prank."

"Anything else? I don't want to throw my life away for nothing." My shoulders shrugged while I shook my head from side to side.

"You actually just told me that you were shocked that you were alive in the future, and NOW you're telling me that you won't risk your life?" The tablet was getting tired, "I can promise you won't die or get hurt because you're not even hurt or dead in the future."
