37."Training Is In Session Reef Kids"

Ao'nung, Tsireya, Kiri, Rotxo, Spider and Tuk were in the water just hanging out. Lo'ak and Neteyam made their way over to the group. Ao'nung noticed them and he stood up preparing to leave, but they stopped him. "Ao'nung, we're sorry, we completely overreacted, it's just Y/n means a lot to us and our emotions were all over the place, she told us what you did for our family and we wanted to say thank you" Neteyam said softly.

Ao'nung looked the two brothers  up and down before he smiled a little. "Agh, no hard feelings, we should all be friends" He said holding out his hand. Lo'ak looked at Ao'nung, "Last time you said that...I ended up outside the reef". Ao'nung rolled his eyes, "No tricks, I'm serious, we should be friends". Neteyam shook Ao'nung's hand and so did Lo'ak.

"Speaking of Y/n where is she" Tsireya asked. Neteyam and Lo'ak looked down. "She's at the island" Ao'nung said calmly. Kiri, Spider, Lo'ak, Neteyam and Tuk's heads all shot up. Ao'nung looked at them all confused. "YOU KNOW WHERE SHE IS" Kiri yelled at Ao'nung. Ao'nung gave Kiri a surprised expression, "Yeah...why is that so shocking". 

"We've been looking for her since last night! Do you know where the island is!" Neteyam said. Ao'nung gave him an annoyed look, "Duh". The other Sully children stood up. "Take us to her now" Lo'ak said. Ao'nung nodded his head and led the others towards the island. They all got onto ilus taking off.

~Once They Arrived~

'Y/n's Pov'

I was sitting in the grass, with my feet in the pond. Getting lost in my thoughts, wondering if I overreacted to what Neteyam said. It truly did hurt my feelings to be honest, but I feel like me not telling them where I went...again...will only make things worse. Last night Ao'nung caught me trying to go to the island, so he is the only one who knows where I am. I kind of hope he didn't tell the others.

I watched as the tiny fish swam through the pond. It made me smile, it was peaceful and calming. Although I did miss the others, especially Tuk. I got up and walked over to the tree, pressing my hand against the rough bark. I turned my head towards the noises that were coming from the path. Suddenly I saw Lo'ak. 

Lo'ak froze as he saw me, I froze too, but then smiled. I ran over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck and shutting my eyes tightly. For a few seconds Lo'ak's arms stayed at his side. But I felt them slowly, but tightly wrap around my body. We swayed from side to side slightly. 

"Lo'ak" I heard Neteyam yell. I slowly pulled away from him and turned towards Neteyam's voice. Lo'ak put his hand on my back, "I know you aren't happy with us, especially Neteyam, but just hear him out". He said into my ear. I nodded my head and waited for Neteyam's to come through the leaves.

Once he did, he stared at me, his face becoming sadder by the second. I walked over to him and took his hand in mine. "Neteyam-" He stopped me, "Y/n I am so sorry, I shouldn't have said that to you, but I was worried and didn't fully trust Ao'nung yet and I don't know....I thought he could take you away from us...from me...". He said softly. I watched as his eyes teared up, seeing Neteyam cry wasn't something I was use to.

I wiped his tear away with my thumb and gently rubbed small circles on his cheek. "Neteyam...no one can take me away from you...or Lo'ak. You two are the ones I love, no one else. And I'm sorry for worrying you, I honestly didn't mean to" I said smiling at him.

He slowly brought his eyes up to meet my gaze, as a small smile started to appear on his lips. I started to smile as well, before I brought his face down to mine, pressing my lips against his. He placed his hands on my hips, pulling me closer to him, making me laugh. We pulled away for a split second. "I love you, Y/n..so much" He said while looking into my eyes.

"I love you more Neteyam". He chuckled and kissed me again. Once we pulled away again, I turned to Lo'ak who was admiring the tree. I laughed, "You guys like...we have Ao'nung and Rotxo to thank for this". Neteyam seemed to just now take in his surroundings as he walked over to the tree as well.

"I expected it to be nice, but not like this.." Neteyam said amazed. I smiled, "I know right, who would have known Ao'nung was capable of this". "So it was an insult, I knew it" Ao'nung said walking over to us with the others. I laughed, but then I saw Tuk and she immediately ran over to me. I picked her up and hugged her. "I missed you" Tuk said while laughing. "I missed you too Tuk". 

Spider walked to Neteyam and Lo'ak, "This place is sick". Ao'nung had a smug look on his face and so did Rotxo. I rolled my eyes, "These two, skxawngs did this, for us" I said gesturing towards the two reef kids. Kiri smiled, "It's amazing" she said as she put her hand on Rotxo's shoulder. Tsireya stood next to Kiri, admiring how happy she looked. I smiled at how cute they were.

"Hey Ao'nung, remember how you said we weren't good divers when we first got here" Lo'ak said from up in the tree. Ao'nung nodded his head, "Yeah". "Come on reef boy, let's see how you do in trees" Lo'ak said laughing. The others laughed as well. Kiri took Tsireya's hand and led her to the tree, "Now I get to teach you all I know" Kiri said smiling. 

"Training is in session reef kids" I said while smiling at all of them. They all had nervous looks on their faces and it only made us laugh even more.

(I'm excited to write a fill chapter of the Sully's teaching the reef children about how to climb trees and shoot bows and hunt, things like that. Innocent little fill chapters!!!)
