How tf "ratta" a call and mi kill him?
"Tf" I whispered under my breath then picked up.
I heard silence on the other end until a familiar voice spoke..
It was shotta.
"A blood fi blood eno top man, yuh kill mi nephew suh ,mi ago kill yuh bitch, den yuh mada ,den you" he said in a calm tone then hung up
My world froze,
the dawg threaten mi baby mada and mi mada??
Especially while mi ina hospital and in no shape fi defend dem.??!
"B everything alright?...yuh look vex" jayda asked holding my face
"Baby listen to mi..." I said then paused
"Yah scare mi" she said searching my eyes
"Yah fi guh liff up, you and mi old lady."I told her and her eyes widened
"The fuck?! Absolutely not??? Whyyy??" She yelled

"Shotta threaten uno safety just bare wid mi yow." I said placing my hand on her cheek
"Smh....I wasn't gonna tell you cause I was gonna turn it down but I got an offer,in Florida at another branch of the law firm I work, higher position." She told me and I felt relief

"Good mi have some property over deh.. ago call the driver and mek mi mada and the man dem know"

I then dialed the driver and he picked up on the first ring.
"Hello sir" he greeted but mi Neva ina the chatting
"Listen good, ago sen mi location pick up mi ooman bring har a the yard, den guh pick up mi mada and bring the two a dem guh airport"
"Okay sir which airport?" Da yute ya
"Nuh mek mi get dawk wah kinda fuckry question dat" I replied
"My apologies" he replied and shortly after I hung up
After I called the driver I booked a flight to florida for both my mom and jayda.. {thank god the two a dem have citizenship ina the US.}
Then..I dialed my mom to let her know the situation.
"Mummy" i  greeted
" how yuh sound suh Alex." She asked immediately in a concerned tone.

"You and jayda Affi guh lef Ja fi a few, and don't ask nuh question I won't say.. my driver will be there soon." I said sternly.
"Alex yuh fada did warn yuh eno.." she said breaking down

"Okay alex..just keep safe." She replied then hung up.

"Shotta come back fi blood..Weh uh deh?."I asked
"Me n couple a the dawg dem outside we did guh buy food" he replied

When I hung up I looked up at jayda who was crying..
"Baby yah guh come wid wi?" She asked wiping her tears
"Yuh know mi Cyah fwd jayda.. Affi tek care a some shit so y'all can be safe." I told her kissing her forehead
"But babe..mi Cyah do dis..mi pregnant alex.." she broke down crying again
"Yah Fi be firm rn baby..just tek care a yuh self and the baby and nuh worry bout mi.. mi love yuh." I told her reassuring her
" gimme a kiss." I said to her and she did as I said
When we kissed , we kissed as if it would be our last one ever
