T/N: Here's a bit of an explanation between beast cultivators and demon cultivators to dispel confusion between the two (especially since I've been having trouble trying to translate yao huang[妖皇] and mo huang[魔皇] since it's kind of hard for me to differentiate between them).

Essentially, beast cultivators and demon cultivators do not refer to what the cultivators themselves represent (since some demon cultivators are beasts like LQ), but instead refer to their method of practice.

Demon cultivators cultivate demonic or supernatural energy to gain strength and achieve their goals. They may also be associated with the worship of dark or demonic entities, and may be willing to use any means necessary to achieve their ends, including harming others or engaging in forbidden practices.

Beast cultivators are those who cultivate the natural spiritual energy of the world as well as make use of their own bloodline abilities, etc. to transform, gain power and achieve their respective goals. Beast cultivators do not only refer to beasts like foxes (BW), but they also refer to plants that have gained spiritual awareness. (The more appropriate translation would've been Spirit Cultivator. For now, I won't be changing it and the Spirit Cultivator will continue to refer to ghosts)

Changes I'll be making:

(Northern Dark Demon Sect -> Mysterious Northern Demon Sect / Mysterious Northern Sect)

PS: If you see any old chapters being re-published, some minor edits have been made(fixing inconsistent translations, and spelling/grammatical errors).

It was twilight when Lin Qianshuang was awakened by a knock at the door; she felt someone had entered the room and was calling her.

But she was still groggy and fell back asleep shortly after being woken up. She slept soundly, unresponsive, until someone else entered the room and stood in front of the bed.

Bai Wan sat at the edge of the bed and said to the maid who was trembling from nervousness, "You can go. I'll wake up the Left Protector."

The maid said, "But the Sage has instructed that you are not allowed to set foot in the Left Protector's bed chamber. If she finds out about this, I'm afraid that my life will be in danger."

Bai Wan raised her willow leaf-shaped eyes slightly, its ink-black colour was a little lighter under the sunlight. She gave a faint smile to the maid and said, "The Left Protector can't afford to miss breakfast. Do you not believe me?"

She has a clean and pretty face, and she appears very innocent and pure when she smiles. In addition, she usually treats others in a warm and friendly manner, and her every move contained the gentleness and elegance that only a refined noble lady could have.

Such a calm and beautiful woman was the least likely to arouse others' suspicion and vigilance.

The maid was bewildered by Bai Wan's smile and wondered why the Sage was always on guard against this kind and gentle woman.

She, like many others, believed that the frequent conflicts between Han Shengyao and Bai Wan was due to her jealousy of the Demon Emperor's favour towards Bai Wan.

The maid hurriedly said, "This servant does not dare and will leave now. I'll be bothering you to take care of the Left Protector."

Bai Wan watched the maid close the door and felt a little proud as she smugly raised her hidden fox tails.

She turned her gaze to Lin Qianshuang who was still lying in bed. She was in an awkward posture with her limbs spread out, her undergarments half lifted, and the quilt kicked to one side.
