That moment, I felt rage and fear build up inside me. I glared back at him and it felt like we had a stare off battle that was an obvious loss for me. His deadly stare reached my sanity and made my heart shrink to the size of a grain of salt. All the memories of me defying him and the awful punishments I got ran through my mind.. I felt terrified.
"Jiu?"
I then suddenly got brought back to my sense and felt a familiar hand touch my shoulder. I blinked a few times and looked at the person next to me, smiling the moment I saw her.
"Jiu, it's departure time- Oh god, you look so pale, is everything okay?"
"Huh?- Oh, y-yeah I'm just a bit.. nervous of the flight."
"Don't be nervous baby, I'll be next to you. Let's go now before the plane departs."
She reached her hand out and I happily grabbed it, taking one last glance at my father's glare before heading inside the plane with Yoohyeon. She knew something was up with me and I had no plans to hide stuff from her. Not anymore. I decided to tell her the moment we land in Jeju, not wanting to worry her now. I won't let that man destroy my time with Yoohyeon and my friends.

We landed in Jeju and got blinded by the hot sun hitting our faces. I looked around and noticed our ride right outside the airport, waiting for us. I waved at the familiar young driver who was one of my father's workers and a close friend of mine. He bowed down when he noticed me and I introduced my friends and Yoohyeon to him.
"I'm glad to see you all safe and sound, especially you Ms. Kim Minji. As promised, I'll escort you to your desired place."
"Thank you so much Felix, you're saving us a lot of time."
"Of course, anything for my little friend."
I flashed him a thankful smile and told everyone to get inside the van. I helped him with putting the luggage inside and when everyone entered the vehicle, I pulled Felix closer by his sleeve and cautiously whispered.
"Do you know why my dad was in the airport?"
"If I'm not mistaken, he's been looking for you because he wants you to be his successor of his company."
I widened my eyes and almost dropped the luggage. Thankfully, he caught it and put it in the van. He pat my shoulder and slightly smiled, assuring me to be calm.
"Why me but not my brother? He's more capable than me.."
"Your brother already took the role of the Co-CEO. You're the only choice left."
"But.. I won't be in Korea since I'll go abroad with my girlfriend. What am I going to do if he finds me.."
"I won't tell your father where you're going, but please be careful because I think he might land here in an hour."
"A-Are you serious?"
"Unfortunately, yes. Stay safe Ms. Kim Minji, I wish you luck."
I sighed, slowly making my way inside the van and sitting next to Yoohyeon. She smiled at me and happily took my hand in hers, playing with it. I looked at her with a soft smile and rested my head on her shoulder.
"Jiu, what's wrong?"
"It's.. it's just that I felt a bit nauseous. It'll go away soon, I promise."
