"And after that, we managed to win that round thanks to Chaewon. I'm so surprised that she's that good at games, I expected her to as bad as Bora but she was like an actual goddess!"

I enthusiastically explained to Yoohyeon how we won a round in a videogame. She was still sleeping, but after the thing that happened a few days ago, I thought she was going to come back. I haven't told the doctors anything yet because I was too surprised and didn't want to leave her at all. Maybe I should have, but my selfishness wanted me to be the first one to see Yoohyeon awake, as stupid as it may have sounded.

She hasn't moved after the light squeeze she gave me. I kept on caressing her hand in hope she'd do that again, but it didn't happen. It could've been an impulsive reaction that happens when people are asleep, but it seemed more than that. It felt like she didn't want me to leave her alone that night. At least that's what I want to think..

I then got called by a nurse from outside and she worriedly looked at me. I gave Yoohyeon a last glance and pecked her temple before leaving the room and walking up to the nurse. She seemed very anxious and that wasn't up to my liking.

"Ms. Minji, We have news.."

"Are they bad?"

"Unfortunately.. The doctors think that there's not a high chance she'll wake up. She hasn't corresponded in the last 2 months, so we're worried she might be in a permanent coma."

"W-What? But how- and I felt her hold my hand three days ago, there's no way?"

"Wait what? Why didn't you tell us!? Please wait so her doctor can check up on her."

The nurse excused herself and went to call over a doctor. I then walked back to Yoohyeon and stared at her. I admired her once again and held her hand near my lips to feel her warmth again. I shed a single tear and hoped that the doctors were wrong. There was no way that was true, she held my hand that day..

A doctor with a few nurses entered the room and asked me to exit the room for a while. I sat on one of the benches and anxiously waited for them to be done so I could see her again.

Soon, more and more doctors rushed inside the room which worrird me. I tried to peek inside every time a new doctor entered her room, but I couldn't see a lot. I was too nervous that I didn't want to stand there anymore and went to the bathroom to calm down. I entered one of the stalls to focus on my own thoughts, but then a few nurses entered.

They seemed tired and a bit overworked. I felt bad for them, because the job of a hospital nurse wasn't easy. I couldn't help but eavesdrop their conversation. They talked about their daily routines, check ups on other patients that didn't really seem too interesting to me. But one topic caught my attention the most.

"Did the check up on Ms. Kim Yoohyeon go well?"

"Surprisingly, it was more than well. Everyone thought she wasn't going to wake up, but she did! Though, we didn't expect her to be in that state since she didn't have any head injuries. What could it be from?"

"Must be from too much blood loss and difficulty in breathing. She was brought back to life after all, it's a miracle she even manage to survive that day, so that was to be expected. What a strong girl she is."

"Right? I'm still amazed by her. Let's go back, patient in room A-211 needs a check-up."

The moment the nurses left the bathroom, I bursted open the stall's door and ran out without a second thought. I saw the doctors and nurses leave her room, meaning she was alone now. I immediately went inside and saw her...
