I knocked on Yoohyeon's hospital room and for the first time ever I heard Yoohyeon telling me to come in.. It felt so amazing. The happiness I felt when I saw her show me her beautiful smile and cutest puppy eyes.. I missed her.

"Hi Jiu! I was waiting for you."

"You were? I'm sorry you had to wait but I... got you something!"

"Is it the gift you promised to give me when I wake up?"

I was a bit surprised to hear that she knew that, since I told her about it when she was still asleep.

"You heard that? I thought you weren't aware of what was happening around you."

"It's hard to explain, but I was aware of what was going on, but just.. couldn't communicate at all."

I made my way to the chair that was next to her and pulled out a small green box with a white heart ribbon on the top. Yoohyeon's face lit up the moment she saw it and then raised an eyebrow.

"You're not proposing so soon, right?"

"Huh!? N-No, of course not! We aren't even-"

I stopped right there and pondered for a second. What actually are we? I always called her my love, but did she actually still feel like that? I gulped and scratched my head, making her giggle.

"We aren't even what? Together?"

"I- Uhm.. D-Do you want us to be again?"

"Such a weird place to ask someone to date again, but how can I say no when it's you."

I smiled widely and hugged her, making her wince a bit because I hit her shoulder. I quickly apologized and even bowed down and she pulled me back in a hug. I never knew how much I'd love this moment. Her hugs, her voice, her smile.. I missed them all. But then she pulled out and looked at me with worry.

"Minji you're so thin now?! Have you been eating properly?"

"Well.. sometimes..?"

She frowned and pouted, making me hug her again and apologize for not taking proper care of myself. All the stress and worry I felt made me forget about my own needs and I indeed was much thinner than before. Now that Yoohyeon was back to herself, that feeling of anxiety was gone and I promised her that I'd go back to my healthy lifestyle again soon.

I pulled out from the hug and finally thought I should show her the present I prepared. I slowly opened the box and made her close her eyes. She did so, and after that I took out the ring and held her hand in mine to put on the ring on her ring finger. She opened her eyes and gasped in amazement at how pretty the ring looked. She examined it with her eyes and pulled me back in a hug.

"It's so beautiful Minji, thank you so much."

"I'm happy you liked it."

"Like it? No, I love it!"

She pulled out the hug and cuped my cheeks. I felt my heart beat fasten and butterflies fluttering in my stomach because of the way she looked into my eyes. I forgot what it was like to stare into her loving gaze.. I missed it.

"Hyeonie, can I kiss you."

"T-That was sudden. Of course you can, no need to a-"

She didn't have to say otherwise and my lips were already on hers. I was so happy in that moment that I wouldn't mind if the world ended right now. I felt my heart beating rapidly and everything around me was in a daze, as if it was my first kiss with Yoohyeon all over again.
