ANOTHER WEEK LATER

7:05 AM / KYH

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I turned around to get my phone but got shocked when I saw how close my face was to Minji's. I think I was a few inches away from having a contact with her. I got away from her face and quickly got my phone to turn the alarm off.

Minji has been staying over for two weeks now and I think I really needed her with me in this house while I was waiting for Yoojung to come back. I've been visiting him a few times without Minji, because she felt too worried and scared to go back after the thing with her father happened, and I totally understood that.

Minji has been absent from school for a long while and the principal got worried and contacted her for it, so we decided she should finally go back with me, and she did two days ago. Minji obviously kept on whining while we were in class, but it was about time she went back there. We had to graduate after all.

I was going to get off my bed to get ready, but Minji suddenly held me by my wrist and pulled me back and laid on top of me, not letting me move.

"Can I stay like this for a bit?"

She spoke with her raspy morning voice and placed her head near my nape to stay warm. Why is she so clingy all of a sudden? It wasn't her first time acting like this, but we were always late to school because of her little schematics. I wasn't going to let her play like that.. but I was too sleepy so I didn't see a problem.

"Gosh Jiu- I'll stay for only 5 minutes and then we're getting ready for school."

"Hnngh.. Why are we going to school when we can just stay here!~"

"We need to. But I guess we could stay like this for a little bit, since I'm slightly sleepy too."

"Ughh why only 5 minutes? Can't we stay for more?"

"Not too much now."

"Okay fine! *mumble* You're so mean.."

She was whining like a child and hugged me tight so I wouldn't manage to escape her grip. I gave in to her tricks and hugged her back to doze off for a little bit..

well..

It was more than a little bit.

Because we fell asleep again and slept for 30 minutes..

My alarm rang once more and I almost gasped when I saw that we were almost going to be late again. I pushed Minji off of me that she almost fell off the bed. I felt bad for doing that, but I have other priorities. I went to the bathroom to wash up and a few minutes later, she came as well and grabbed the toothbrush to brush her teeth. I watched her move as slow as a sloth and to speed her up a little, I brushed her teeth for her.

"Thwaenks."

She thanked me half asleep with her mouth full of toothpaste. I gave her a cup of water to rinse off the toothpaste and even washed her face and did her light makeup. I was taking care of her like some child, I hate it.

She was going to change into her shirt but I stopped her.

"Wait. I'll change the bandages on your ribs."

"But I'm fine now. Look."

She raised her shirt and pointed at her bandaged ribs and... they were obviously not fine. She awkwardly smiled and I sighed, pushing her to sit on my bed while I switched the bandages. She whined the whole time but wasn't doing anything other than wincing a few times.
