Regarding Xi Sheng's serious exaggeration and stepping on other games to deceive players, many players had decided that as long as Xi Sheng releases games in the future, they will never play them and will block Xi Sheng's games. Xi Sheng's stock plummeted to new lows, causing panic among shareholders and deep dissatisfaction toward Xi Rui.

Watching the increasing swearing and sarcastic comments for several days fueled Xi Rui's anger and frustration; he smashed the computer.

Xi Rui stared at the people in his office, his eyes on fire as he yelled, "I paid so much money to invite you, yet you bring me this kind of results?"

Everyone on the game development team was silent, even Du Jie. It's not that they didn't want to defend themselves, but Xi Rui was already furious. It's safe to say that their defense will only add to the fire.

In fact, these members are upset as well, despite the fact that it was their disagreements and lack of tacit understanding that caused so many problems in the game, they still could slowly repair the problematic parts during the public beta test if it weren't for Xi Rui's overblown publicity. Even if it can't compete with "Conquer the Galaxy", it will still be a fantastic game that won't be as harshly criticized.

"Was the money I spent on this game and on you all for naught?" Xi Rui roared, "You trash! I wouldn't ask you if I knew you were this useless!"

The expressions on everyone's faces changed because of Xi Rui's words. Even if their prior company didn't give as much salary, they still earned respect for their expertise. They had never been this upset before.

"Xi Rui..., President Xi," Du Jie finally persuaded him, "Now it's pointless to mention that. We should think of a solution soon."

"Solution?!" Xi Rui locked his gaze on Du Jie and said, "Check out the web reviews. How many people have started boycotting our company's games now? Take a look at it! How do you solve it? Is there any hope for a solution?"

Du Jie was silent yet again; he hadn't expected the situation to escalate so quickly.

"You guys! What are you going to do now?!" Xi Rui questioned them. "How do you handle this to recoup the company's losses?! You are the source of the problem. If you don't solve it, you'll be responsible for everything!"

"You are too much to say this! What does it mean to let us take all the responsibilities?" someone finally had to ask. "As the president, do you not have any responsibility for whatever you do during the game's production?"

"That's right!" said someone else. "If it weren't for your exaggerated promotion and advertising content, and your continuous comparisons to "Conquer the Galaxy," the game we created would not have received such harsh criticism from players. We've never heard that the president isn't responsible for anything that happens to the company and that only the employees are."

"I made those adverts because I believe in you!" When Xi Rui heard their excuses, he grew even angrier. "I thought that getting you all together would be far superior to those from Weiyu Group. Who would have guessed you'd be so useless? You developed a terrible game! You are the one who has ruined my company. Who is to blame for your irresponsible behavior but you?"

"You're totally unreasonable!" Someone else stood up and said, "It's really unfortunate that we've stumbled into a boss like you. We will refund your money in full. Not only do we not want to work for your company, but we also do not want to be angered by you!"

"Yes, we quit!"

"If it wasn't for you providing 'advice' indiscriminately without really understanding things, and also making us do what you say, there wouldn't be so many issues with this game. Working for you is truly unlucky. Can I quit?"

"We'd give you your money back! Who wants to work with someone like you!"

"We would prefer to have our dignity rather than your money. This company's doom is because of you!"

"Shut up!" Xi Rui slammed the table, his hands numb. "You say you want to leave? Keep in mind that we have a contract. If you refuse to do it, if you refuse to be responsible, I will see you in court!"

The others were speechless, and all they could do was stare fiercely at Xi Rui. They had not expected Xi Rui to be so unreasonable. They now bitterly regret their previous decision to come to Xi Sheng to work.

As Xi Rui's secretary knocked, he cautiously probed inside and said, "President, all of the shareholders have come into the meeting room and are ready to meet with you."

Xi Rui clenched his hands on the table, closed his eyes, and fought hard to keep his anger away. He did not summon those shareholders, and the meeting is not scheduled for today. And now those stockholders all show up in the company, one could guess why they are here.

Xi Rui lowered his head and said, "Get out!"

Only Du Jie remained in Xi Rui's office after the others had left. "Let's go; you've got to face what you've got to face," he said.

Xi Rui clenched his teeth and went out of the room, as if he was about to die, but he raised his head and pretended to be alright.

The meeting room was deafeningly still, and all of the shareholders' faces were solemn, yet no one was speaking. Before they came to the company, they had already said what they should have said. For everything else, simply wait for Xi Rui to arrive and tell him.

All of the shareholders stared at Xi Rui as soon as he entered the meeting room. Despite his mental preparation, he was taken aback when so many people stared at him with serious eyes at the same time. These investors are all older than he is, and several of them are of the age where he should refer to as uncles. Although now he is the president, he can't help but feel nervous in front of all of them, all of whom have a bad expression at the same time.

Xi Rui took the center seat at the conference table. His legs trembled a little as he sat down. He used to fantasize about being in this position. Many times, he envisioned himself boldly and domineeringly speaking with them, and they praised and trusted him.

He was finally seated in this position, but facing all of the shareholders in this conference room for the first time made him feel as if he were on pins and needles. And those shareholders stared at him with accusations, dissatisfaction, disappointment, fury, and all kinds of emotions; there was no expression of praise or trust.

For a moment, Xi Rui thought whether it would be wonderful if he were not the president.
